So i recently purchased a Vamo V5 and with the nautilus tank on it the vamo says its 2.5ohm ?? the atomizer was marked 1.8 also i checked on aspirecig.com with my scratch off code for the nautilus tank and it said my product was geniune. Not sure what to make of this, the vamo reads the ohms of a new kanger tank correctly ??

Could just be that particular coil/atomizer head. Try a new one and see what your reading is.
So i switched out the atomizer in the nautilus for another new one marked 1.8ohm and it read even worse 2.7ohm. Afterwards i put a kanger aerotank on with a coil marked 2.0 and the vamo read 2.1ohm so i don't think anything is going on with the vamo, what are the odds i got two bunk coils ? or do you think the vamo has a hard time with the aspire coils ??
So just to verify it i dragged out my multimeter and tested the last aspire atomizer that read 2.7 in the vamo. On the multimeter i got 3.3 ohms with a test lead resistance of .6 that gives me 2.7ohm so it looks like I got some junk coils !!
Ok so the plot thickens, This is a really weird issue.. When i take the coil out of the nautilus adjustable airflow base and test the coils they test perfect at 1.8 ohm but when i put them back in the airflow base and test them i get 2.5-2.7 ohm. Someone please help me here... Thanks
Sounds like it's a bad base from aspire.

Same exact issue that someone else was having. They tested the aspire on both the Vamo and the Provari. I recommend watching RIP Tipper's tutorial on rebuilding your nautilus coils, it will save you a boatload of money.

The thing is the coils test fine at 1.8 when not screwed into the bottom cap with the 510 connection. That little plunger and spring in the bottom seem to be adding about .8 -1 ohm of resistance. Working with the vendor on this and not sure whether i need a new base or what ?? really confused lol
Don't worry about it, just adjust your wattage or voltage to what works/ tastes good to you.
Right, that's what I meant. It's a bad base from aspire. It's the same exact problem as the other thread, the coil alone tests fine, but once in the base it adds almost an ohm of resistance. Just do as techtimb said and adjust your vv/vw accordingly and vape on. Don't worry about it!
My bad I must have mis-read your last post i could have sworn you said it was a bad coil.. Anyways I'm gonna see if they will replace the bottom cap , if not I will just live with it. Thanks a lot for the help, have a nice evening !
