I've just upgraded from a standard kit to a Vamo V5. However i'm not sure how to set the voltage (v) or power (w) output properly. Am i supposed to be setting both the volts and watts in accordance to what i'm vaping or with the ohms based on the tanks i'm using?? Or do i just need to set the voltage??

The vamo is only in one mode at a time, so either in voltage mode or wattage mode.

Your best bet is to set it to wattage mode, and start at about 6.5 watts then move up till you find your sweet spot, or it starts to taste burnt.

If you prefer to use voltage mode, tell us what the resistance of your coil/type of tank is and people should be able to offer advice. Or follow a similar system and start at 3.6v and move up till you find your zone or it tasted burnt.

Best of luck!

Hi thanks for your quick response! I'm currently using an Iclear 30b tank which is 2.0 ohms and an Iclear 30 which is 2.2 ohms. I've also got a vivi nova tank 2.7 ohms which tastes burnt all the time so i'm taking this back to my local vaping shop.

So what your saying is as soon as it tastes burnt turn it down and thats the sweet spot???

set the vamo to watts mode first... get a feel for the sweet spot ( slightly warm, flavor at peak ) 2ish ohms does well in the 6-9 watt range ( also depends on your juice choice too) once you become comfy with the Vamo, consider trying out the volts setting to fine tune the vape.. if you change toppers alot be sure to keep track of the ohms of each topper in volt mode, keep a note book in the beginning....

What he said ^^^^^^ Make sure it is in RMS mode and not mean. Can't believe that wasn't the first suggestion in this thread, I've been getting so frustrated in this forum with some of the advice people are trying to give to new vapers. Not necessarily this thread but there's a lot of posts where people are giving very poor advice to people.
