Hey guys, I am currently looking for a Vamo. I had been reading and going back and forth on a lot of PVs, the Vamo is where I think I would like to settle. However, I am currently unable to find a vendor that has the entire setup. I am new so I dont already have batteries laying around so I would like to get it all in one package.

Anybody have a link or two to a kit or inform me on how to get everything from one website even if it is not a kit. Hoping to keep it around 60-80 bucks.

If I cant find it, then I was thinking about this Zmax - Sigelei Zmax - Complete Kit

Thoughts?

Hi Clytpo,
The problem with many kits is they do not have the safest batteries, and sometimes even have batteries that end up not working with the pv.
The Sigelei Zmax is a good pv, and so is the Vamo. You need to buy the right kind of batteries for these sort of mods - IMR batteries. IMR batteries have safer chemistry and can handle high drain.
Its better to just buy the pv on its own, and buy a decent charger and batteries separate. Batteries and a charger are an investment since you can use them in different mods.

A lot of people get their batteries from RTD Vapor.
For 1850 you could use any of these:
AW IMR 18650 2000 mAh
Batteries : Efest IMR 18650 Button Top
Batteries : Panasonic Hybrid/ IMR CGR18650CH Button Top

For 18350 these:
Batteries : AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh
Batteries : Efest IMR 18350 Button Top

This is a good charger:
Battery Chargers : Xtar WP2 II

if you're interested you can read more about batteries in the ECF guide: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html
In that guide it says this:
We now advise that Li-Mn or top-quality Li-FePo4 rechargeables are used in APVs, in preference to rechargeable Li-ions. We suggest the best option, in order, is:

1. AW IMR Li-Mn rechargeables.
2. AW Li-FePo4 rechargeables [Li-FePo4's MUST HAVE A SPECIAL CHARGER]. Note that these batteries are mostly 3 volt nominal so the system voltage will be lower than normal.
3. Good quality (such as AW or Pila) protected Li-ion rechargeables.
4. Branded protected Li-ions come next - such as xxxfire Li-ion rechargeables (for xxx insert Trust / Sure / Ultra-).
5. The least-preferable option is a generic protected Li-ion.
6. Unprotected rechargeable Li-ion cells should not be used.
7. Standard cells (non-rechargeable) should not be used.

This is what I bought from RTD Vapor for my VAMO.

I charger

2 x spacers to charge 18350s

2 x 18650

2 x 18350

They didn't have AW 18350s in stock at the time or I would have bought these instead.

I guess the finish wears off and scratches on gun metal so I bought a stainless.

Thank you for all the information guys, I am looking at the gun metal Vamo from Smoketek and researching the batteries/charger from RTD!

The vamo is a great device one you've got a decent spring in it. I highly recommend paying a few extra dollars and getting the stainless steel version, the black chrome doesn't wear to well.

Try Smoktek... ordered on Wednesday, arrived on Thursday with TWO ( 2 ) springs !

Yes, I read about the spring issue so I am glad to hear that the one you got from Smoktek did come with two.

Vapor Beast has everything you need in stock. Very friendly customer service when I emailed them questions.....very fast shipping.

Tracey

Their kit is out of stock at the moment I believe.

As for the Vamo, I was going to get the SS but ... I went with the gun metal. I couldnt help myself!

For the batteries, I did go with what Hyper and kiwi suggested. RTDVapor, I got the same charger that Hyper listed and two 18650 Efest batteries. :)

I think the only thing left to do is to find something to go on top of my eGo batteries as one of the atomizers were DoA with the kit. :(

I received mine from Smoktek earlier this week. Fast shipping, packaged well etc. SS version.
It came with 2 springs (both of which caused the heat issue in the end cap) but replaced it with one from a $1.00 flashlight and it works great.

I got the SS VAMO, 2x18650 Efest batteries + charger for $90 shipped.

Was it shipped with the new gold plated spring?
