The threads on my Vamo are awful, it's the only thing so far that lets this mod down for me.
I've had to be really careful putting tanks on so as to not cross thread it and tanks only sat solid on it when tightened right up.
Even so, my Vamo toppled over on the table and sent my UD AGI flying, stripping the threads from the Vamo. Not off the table, just from standing to laying flat. It's a shame that such a good device is let down by either poor materials or poor machining or both. In my opinion it's mostly down to the machining. (former steel fabricator)

I have the same setup. What I do is use the beauty ring that came with the protank. Screw the ring on all the way, then put the protank on where you need it to be, then unscrew the ring up tight against the bottom of the protank. It works pretty good.

I've had my Vamo V3 for 2 weeks & only use KangerTech ProTanks. I use the cone ProTank beauty ring on V3, but it was annoying always trying to get just the right height for the supporting cone .. cause if you screw it all the way down, the ohm reading didn't work correctly. I searched Home Depot & Lowes looking for a washer to put under the ProTank's cone beauty ring & that would fit over the V3 center post - couldn't find anything that was "just right". So ... I made a washer from a guitar pick that was just the right thickness and the thin plastic guitar pick materials was easy to drill and cut for the right sizes. So with my guitar pick washer in place, I screwed the ProTank beauty cone down tight against my guitar pick washer -- now I can simply screw my ProTanks on until they come to a positive stop and I'm always at the right place where everything works just as expected on the Vamo V3. Lovin' it!

I got an evic for my first vv mod for $104. But recently I got a vamo v3 and its a much better mod! And @ $32 shipped from FT, I feel like a big dummy for listening to the kid @ my local vape store! Could have got 3 v3's for the price of that damn evic! Live and learn...
