Trouble is, since the Aromamizer Plus came out, there's nothing else I really use.

I ignored the few warnings I read about seeping from the base and ordered one anyway. The very first day I had fairly bad seeping from the press fit base. I've sent in a warranty claim to vandyvape but haven't heard back from them yet. There are way better tanks out there. If I were you, I'd look at something else.

the O.G Kylin has serious seeping issue under the base, I shelved mine because of this, got tired of wiping juice every couple hours or so.
So unless you want liquid (though not much) on top of your mod, i'd suggest you look elsewhere, probably the OBS Engine, or EXO RTA.
also the postless deck in the Kylin, imo, isn't the best for beginner builders (from what I read from your other thread).

Sheesh, I had no idea this had so many issues.

I was literally about to buy one of these things.

If I had noticed this thread two minutes later... I'd have one on the way.

I'm quite anxious to see how Vandyvape handles this, now.

I'm mostly a flavor chaser, so this seemed like the perfect tank if you go off of reviews.

I ended up with a sour lemon in my Avocado 24 with center-pin tarnish/corrosion and jumping resistance, and looking for a replacement device is becoming daunting now that a lot of highly-rated ones on the market seem to be having issues.

In the meantime, I suppose I will continue searching.

EDIT: Is this the version 2 or the v1 that's having issues?

Supposedly there are several versions of the Kylin & v2 floating around.

V1 in SS and black, comes in a black box.
V2 in SS and black, comes in blue box, without kidney fill portion at the top.
V2(??) in multiple colors with improved base and kidney fill portion
V2 in SS and black - supposedly made AFTER the colored ones, has improved base and comes in blue box with kidney fill slots at the top.

The digging I was able to do elsewhere in the time since I posted showed that the cotton can catch on the side of the tank and produce leaking by getting pulled. Lots of discussion in this video

Guy does say he has some condensation, though. It looks like he's using the version without the kidney fill slots on the top.

Apparently others (here and elsewhere) were able to contact Vandyvape and were asked to provide a picture of their base to confirm it was the older version, then were sent new bases that supposedly fix the leaking issue for them. Others still have the same issue after receiving the new base.

This looks like a tank I'd put a 3.5mm fused Clapton on. Small ones might not have enough wick and have reportedly caused leaking issues in the Ammit Dual, and I could see the same issue impacting the Kylin from what I understand of the design.

I'll keep looking into it, because if the leaking has been resolved somewhere along the way I might still be interested.

Love this Kylin! Finally a juice control system that works and is easy to use!This little bigger is HIGHLY adjustable! Finally a RTA that does not leak easy to use and you can customize it to your preference! I love it. The flavor is amazing! I got mine in purple. Of course! Mine the new deck and NO deck leaking at all. I am NOT disappointed.

Kylin V2 update....

This is how I build mine and I have to say, this tank with this build in is very good indeed.

I wanted to put the same coils that are in the Aromamizer Plus in the Kylin to see how it vaped and compared.

I built some NI80 fused claptons 4mm ID (yes they fit fine) came out at the usual 0.22ohms

You really have to comb the wicks out with these size ID coils

Lightly tuck them in so they fill the juice holes and trim the rest, you want it full of cotton but not packed in, this really helps with a proper saturated vape but still prevents leaks.
Juice them up and push the wicks away from the the bottom airflow, you want to be able to see the coil legs.

Wicks like a dream and vapes perfect, the flavor edges out the Aromamizer Plus but not by much, using the same build and the same juice, I actually run the Kylin at 90w and the Aromamizer at 85w, I have to say the Kylin can handle these coils better.. This is purely down to the airflow coming from the bottom and the sides, it has to be the smoothest airflow at of all my RTA's and RDTA's, for how I vape it's perfect.

Juice control works well, although I have to say, it's still a little lose for my liking, it doesn't move when vaping or anything, just wish the tolerance was a bit more.

The tank stays nice and cool but I wouldn't like to run this build with the shorter 2ml tank.

Had no leaks, everything worked first time and I recommend this tank, the problems that plagued the first one are gone in V2, if yours leaks, you have wicked it wrong.

I like the little tool included to get the top cap off too and the 3 different drip tips..

I see a few bad reviews on this and have no idea why, it has to be user error or maybe it's left a bad taste in peoples mouths releasing a fixed version and having to pay out again.

Flavor city with this and if definitely wicks and vapes better than the Aromamizer Plus, it is all down to the airflow and how it's built.

I have 2 of theese myself. Wery happy with them. First bought a black one. Leaked some the first time, but its a trial and error on this tank. The flavour was insane, so i desided to buy one more. Gold this time. This had a much looser JFC than the black one.

I do get some condensation outside the AFC, but havent seen them leaking after a rewick.

They both came in blue boxes and had the kindneythingy on top.

Runnin with a singlecoil, Alien V2, 3mm ID, 0.2ohm.

I submitted my warranty information on July 3rd but haven't gotten a response from them yet. How long does it take?
