You basically smash up the bean and cook it in water and ethanol. Some people here have let the split bean sit in ethanol for weeks on end. Cooking is probably best, but its not clear on the time frames. Will likely require some experimentation.

Hoosier, what exactly is your coffee flavor recipe? Was thinking of doing an espresso ground in hot VG, like my tobacco essence. I have some Bosnian/Turkish style coffee that would be amazing if done well. Lots of chocolate tones in that.

Kurt, you don't want my coffee recipes. I have many that are all horrible. (Horrible is the general opinion of all who have sampled them.)

Knowing it can be done and doing it well, well, since I'm not a coffee fan, it may be that I'm not the right person to get it right. My sister and my friend have begged me to stop attempting to make their coffees and subjecting them to my recipes.
