Vanilla Extract?

Hmmm...so my cartomizer on the Duo seemed to have died and I was reading on the DIY about using vodka or everclear to thin out your juice and it got me thinking. I have some homemade vanilla extract that is made with vodka. Sooooo, I took the rubber tip off and dripped some down into the hole. It woke up the cartridge and there is a faint vanilla flavor. My main question is....am i going to die from some self inflicted vanilla illness? Is that even remotely safe to do?

So you're not actually vaping it, right? It's just a ghost flavor leftover from the cleaning?

I don't think I'd worry too much about it if that's what it is.

No, vanilla beans are not artificial. I'm not by any means an expert, but plenty of juice vendors sell vanilla e-juice, and allowing vodka to extract the flavor from beans is just "natural vanilla flavor", so I think you're safe.

Just don't inhale those little seeds.

There was no cleaning involved. I just dripped some of the extract (vodka/vanilla bean type) into the top of the old cartomizer. Am I vaping it? Um...I think so? It made vapor appear when there was none before. But who knows. I'm new to this whole gig and just trying to get by until the mailman comes.

When I read it at first I thought you meant you were using the alcohol cleaning method that seems popular. People use vodka for that.

But yeah - you extracted it from beans. I'm pretty sure that would be where any real vanilla flavoring comes from. Vape on I guess! lol
