Raven has a surplus of juice that she doesn't use, so I thought I would try something.
As people may or may not know, Shisha smoked in a Hookah, contains no nicotine or tar.
So I did a test.
Using some of Ravens vap juice she does not used, I added it to my Shisha.
Surprisingly, it works, and give my the same effect as smoking a cigarette.
Anyway.......
With a proper mixing of the shisha before smoking, it works nicely.

Ive tried the same but I cant find juice flavors I like as much as shisha flavors. Just a side note, shisha does contain nicotine and water wont filter it out. The most Ive seen is %.05 nicotine, which can build up quick with long hookah sessions. Nicotine filters for hookah are a con, so that wont help either. The only shisha that doesn't contain nicotine are the herbal shishas that dont contain tobacco.

Im pretty sure the ecig idea came from hookahs, since its basically the same thing without charcoal. Tobacco/liquid nicotine combined with glycerine/honey/molasses over high heat. Just wish ecigs could put out as much vapor, as my ecig sure seems whimpy after a hookah session and I cant even find the door from all the smoke!

Every shisha label Ive ever read, and Ive read ALOT, indicate .05-.3% nicotine and 0 tar. I dont know exactly how thats possible, but I do know my hookah thats used strictly with shisha is immaculate, while the one used with raw tobacco and various other things is covered in black tar internally, which is nearly impossible to clean 100%. I only replied to this post for others to use caution if mixing ejuice with shisha, may be the fast track to nicotine overdose. The only time I tried it, i hung the hose up with ringing ears and was slightly dizzy. With strictly shisha, Ill get heavy eyes and become one with my couch, at most.

Herbal Shisha has no nicotine, but normal Shisha has nicotine in it...

I love my hookah and have been smoking it since 1978

Thanks for clarifying, I didnt dare mention herb and hookah in the same sentence, as most westerners automatically associate hookah and a certain herb in the mint family. Most people dont even know they are originally for tobacco!

I love mine as well, vortex bowl, coco nara coal, starbuzz blue mist = heaven!

Hi Nepenthy,

Hahaha anything "herb" always gets the wrong conotations *LOL*

I just wanted to clarify it because if someone decided to try it out, they need to know they will be getting nicotine if it is a normal shisha and not the herbal shisha..

Yeah, Hookahs are great and if you look on YouTube and the hookah forums, it seems like many solely use their hookahs all day and night.. I just use it in the evening to relax..

I've been thinking of trying the Starbuzz Blue Mist for a long time, but I've become so addicted to Hookah-Hookah Pina Colada, and 7 Spice, that's all I seem to smoke lately.. I usually buy a big supply at once so I have it handy.. Coco Nara cols are great, and I also buy alot of the Holland coals since they are a quick light.. The vortex bowls are unbelievable, better than the normal.. My Hookah is a small red Zen but I'm determined to buy one of those 32 inch models soon.. I like the idea of putting it on the floor :)

You're the 2nd person I've found on this forum who enjoy Hookahs and am suprised :hubba:

AngeLsLuv,

Im the same way! I only smoke it in the evening, when I want to sit back and relax and not fiddle with ecigs. Love my ecigs, but the hookah prepping ritual and immense amount of vapor seems to relax me so much more. I get done with a 45 min session and feel like I was never at work at all. Starbuzz Blue Mist and Tangerine Dream are great, although I am getting a little tired of spending so much on it. I recently tried Nahkla and Tangiers, and those are both really good too! I havent tried Hookah Hookah flavors yet, I think they have one called Scooby Snack, that Im really wanting to try. I started out with a small Mya Diva and have since upgraded to a 31" expresso/stratus/stargate. Im still developing my heat management skills, so the taller one seems to give me a little more tolerance as the vapor is already cool before it even hits the water/milk/ice.

Im pretty much a coco-nara snob now! I have some quick lights if I go over to a friends house, but pretty much just stick to the coco's. I bought a small electric burner, throw the coco's on, prep the bowl and water, and by the time Im done the coco's are ready to go. I really love how they are in still in cube form after they've gone out, and seem to last a lot longer than quick lights, especially if you use a wind cover to conserve the heat.

I do love the hookah! Im finding that the ecig juice that I was perfectly happy with, now doesnt taste so great after trying so many awesome moasell flavors. So ecigs are now what gets me through, until I get home and fire up the hookah. Nice to find someone else that enjoys it as much as I do! P.S. If you dont have one already, take a look at the namoor hoses at hookah-shisha.c0m. Very wide diameter so the pull is so light, and completely washable. Highly recommended!

Hi Nep,

I haven't decided if I want to try Scooby Snack yet.. I keep on going back and forth about it.. Been reading about it and there are also alot of videos on YouTube praising the flavor and the clouds of smoke, so I'll probably end up ordering it at some point.. As far as the hookah-hookah shisha, the prices are really good compared to many

Was hearing about some new law that is passing and how shisha will go up in price again so here we go.............%^&**(&*()()

There's just something about the "ritual" of the hookah that goes beyond an e-ciggie or an analog that gets practically religious.. I always turn on the tunes, put my headphones on, and just sit and hookah.. It's relaxation at it's best..

I just don't get the whole CocoNara thang *LOL*.. I keep it on my burner for what seems like forever and then when it gets all lit, I put it on my foil or screen and it always seems to go out fast.. For some reason I just can't seem to keep it lit..

Was looking at your new Hookah.. Behold!! It's beautiful!!! That one is definately on my list of "wants" along with the fish and light one.. Watching plastic fish floating around is too much fun...

I definately will buy the hose you mentioned Thankys!! Looks good and I really like the washable ones.. Last thing I want is to use a leather hose and feel pangs of guilt because of an animal dying just for the pleasure of smoking...

OMG! The e-hookah's produce so much vape it's awesome!

I've gotten these off-line. Does anyone where to find them on-line?

Great flavors. Haven't tried the Scooby either.

I don't know about an e-hookah but it might be cool... Give me my real hookah at night and I'm a happy camper :vapor:
Did do a search and found this site that sells them.. You could give it a try..

There is a problem with fake coco-nara's out there. Ive never had a single one go out, in fact I usually end up putting them out because they are still cranking after Im done. Maybe you got fake ones, or they just got damp from humidity. Do a search on hookahpro for damp coco's, think I saw a few threads about putting them in the oven to dry out. There is info on coco's site on how to identify counterfeits. I always look for a green lebanon or USA stamp on the inside of the box lid.

I've been thinking about trying hookah...to get rid of the couple of cigs a day that plague me still....any suggestions for a newbie?

Maureen,

Have you ever smoked a hookah before? Id hate to recommend hardware and supplies and you not like it at all.If you havent, maybe try and find a lounge in your area and give it try to see if its your thing. If so, hookah-shisha.c0m has a nice mini Mya Saray for around 40 bucks, or free if you order over $100 worth of stuff. I had a couple from previous orders that I gave to friends, and they are very happy with it. Small, but hits like a bigger model due to the wide base. As far as shisha tobacco flavors go, its highly subjective just like e-juice, but everyone Ive introduced to hookah likes the mint flavors. Al Fakher mint is consistently good and pretty fairly priced. It is also unwashed tobacco, so there is more of a nic buzz than some of the other brands,Nakhla and Tangiers excluded.

There are alot of companies online you can buy from, so the world is your limit.. Depending upon what type you buy, all you want is the best price you can get with the first one you buy unless you've hookah'd before..

As far as flavors, there are so many that just doing a list would be too much to type *LOL*

As with e-ciggies, before I bought mine and the supplies, I did alot of research and comparison shopping.. Looking on web boards and watching YouTube videos also help..

There are afew things you have to remember when you order though...

1) Buy a wind tunnel
2) Buy a hot plate/burner
3) Buy extra screens or alot of foil packets (You cannot use normal aluminum foil)
4) Herbal Shisha is 0mg nicotine, all other Shisha has nicotine..
5) If you buy a 2 hose hookah buy either a smoke valve or stem plugs
6) Extra adaputers are always good to have
7) I like quick lighting coal like "Holland" but many many adore CocoNara brand

I quit smoking for 6 months using the e-ciggies, but all of a sudden I just went back to smoking and I feel terrible about it.. It's not like I smoke alot of analogs, but I thoguht I was done with it.. I've been under major stress so maybe that has alot to do with it, who knows.. Hookahs are great for relaxing and you will get a buzz from it at first.. The nicotine I would think would compare to smoking a pipe, but maybe more because you inhale deeply, right into your lungs..

Have fun!!! If you have any other questions just pop me a message :vapor:

Not sure where you all get your info, but smooking hookah generally have more nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide compared to smoking cigs. There are many studies you can find just doing a google search.

I dont care if the shisa says it has no tar.... its lying.

I never said anything to that matter.. I have only said that "Herbal" Shisha is nicotine fee.. All Shisha listed as "Herbal" is 0 nicotine. Not All Shisha is nicotine fee, nor is All Shisha "Herbal"...

There is also nothing in my statement about Carbon Monixide or Tar..

Links? All Ive ever been able to find are assumptions based on amount of smoke of hookah versus cigarettes, which are completely invalid since you dont smoke a hookah all day long. Hookah worse than 1 cigarette, probably. One hookah session a day versus 20 +/- cigs, find it hard to believe. I have no problems standing corrected though, with an actual scientific study on the topic. And I believe you get the tar from actually burning tobacco, which doesnt happen if you use a hookah correctly. Carbon monoxide also greatly reduced with correct usage (purging). Very anxious to see actual scientific studies though, instead of a bunch of "probably's", which is all Ive ever found. Please reply!

Exactly plus the information I have found is that hookah smoking is much better than ciggies because of the tar and carcinogen levels.. Basically on the level of pipe smoking minus some since the smoke is filtered by water..

We could put it this way, *watch me get in trouble for this* but hookahs are comparable to a ......
