I have both the Rev2 (longer battery issue) and the VMOD. I may be rare -- I like them both!
Since both have been discussed here, I thought this might be a place for a little comparison ------all IMHO, of course.
The Rev2 is milder. I like the battery life. On off switch. Passthrough capability. The bigger bottle is fine & easy to push---and that helps the feeding work well for me. I use a 2.0 carto on it usually as I like a little extra punch. I have had no durability problems at all. It's comfortable for me to hold. I haven't really given atty's a true test on it---just happy with the 2.0 carto. Most of my juice is 70PG 30VG & it has done well. VG users will probably need to dilute with a drop or 2 of distilled water. Even the "light show" is cute---& can work as a flashlight, sorta.
The VMod is a nice new set up and pretty well built. Biggest negative is that it took me a day or two to get used to the button. The proprietary carto's work well with the new type of feed system. I prefer the 2.2 one and find the vape much more plentiful, robust, so to speak and a lot warmer than above. It also lasted longer than my average carto---and I'm now going to see if I can make cleaning a carto work for me. (Have had lousy success on others). I have not tried all VG juice with this carto. Really glad I got a 2.2 carto as the 2.8's are not as good for me. However, the 2.8's that came with the package could be perfect for 808D1 lovers.
With the 2.2 cartos or the new Hybred Bottom Feeding atty it sure seems to be vaping more like a high end mod----meaning more punch and volume than many expect out of this size battery. Lots of vapor and still very smooth. I've seen that some vets are beginning to enjoy this small, good looking, easily portable VMOD & there is discussion for those interested on other threads.
The proprietary carto really isn't much of a concern---now that I've tried it. Plus, bottom feeding atty's are out or in the works from two suppliers--so there is choice now with probably more in the near future. And, if in a pinch, one could use any 510 atty/carto set up---just not use the feeder part.
Both are inexpensive "mass market" PV's. Hoping this helps anyone interested in trying either out.
