Hi, just joined ecf, found out about e-cigs recently. Hoping to kick the smoking habit. Thinking e-cigs would be the way to go. Just wondering if initially do you guys vape with a couple of analogs a day or do you guys go cold turkey and vape only. Trying to minimise the withdrawal symptoms if thats possible hehe.

I'm a 10year analog veteran, probably about 1 pack a day. Peter Stuyvesant's my poison if that helps.

hi icegunner and welcome to ecf!

for me i went cold turkey and had no cravings for analog.

instead when i actually thought of doing so i bought a pack, smoked a stick and gave the rest of the pack to a friend cause now i sorta dont really like the taste and smell.

then again everyone's style is different.

as long as it helps you ween off analogs for good. whatever suits you. :)

I went straight to my pv that night, had some cravings the next day, lit a analog, took 3 drags and put it out. That was 31 days ago. I was smoking for 13 yrs at least a pack of marlboro reds a day sometimes 2. After that first day I was doing with the cravings. Even drinking I just grab my pv and some some tobacco flavors and I am golden.

Thanks for the welcome all. Looks like vaping can really replace analogs from what I'm reading. Thats encouraging but maybe I'll keep a pack of analogs nearby at the start hehe.

I've chosen ego-c starter kit plus some flavors from health cabin, like malboro 12mg and 18mg, not sure about the 50-50/72-25 tho. Included some novelty flavors like vanilla, watermelon, apple, hopefully I can give my testimonial like you guys soon.

So many things to learn, guess the best way is to keep a positive attitude to quitting analogs and go step by step.

Oh yes, do you guys reuse the bottle cartridges given with the PVs for the different flavors or do you wash them out when refilling?

For me, i cut off immediately when i got my kit.
Last stick was during the charging of battery before i have my 1st vape.
Urge to have an analog is not there at all though i have access to it very very easily since i have family members still doing analog.

When out, i took quick 2-3 vape when i make my way to the loo. Learnt the art of reliving while vaping at the same time. ^^
So a typical day out, i tend to vape less and vape so discreetly and fast till my friend went: huh? you are done? where? when?

Different people have a different approach to get away from analog. Some cut off totally and fast. Some gradually at their pace. Do what you are comfortable with. Most importantly, you enjoy vaping and eventually get away from analog.

Enjoy!

i hope i can completely cut off analogs

You can. If you want to.

Put it this way: If you invest in a kit that cost several times more than a pack of analogs, you would want to see the difference in money saved as best and as fast as you can, right? ;)

Totally agreed.
For me, it take me 10 days to "break even" before I actually save $ by turning to vaping.
After which, it's very low expense to get carto and juices.
Actual spending varies as well lol.
Cos most likely one will get a better pv and mod and get more quality juices which will incur quite a bit of cost. ^^

RY4 and Marl mix - marl mix is already starting to taste almost weird to me....

I guess when u have the choice of flavors, u will eventually shy away from the tobacco ones and only use it occasionally?

I guess so, but by the looks of it, I have been vaping a few weeks of tabacco mixes ...I dunno why it taste more better for me..I cant explain it in words but yeah it is heavenly! haha! :toast:

Hoot!! Just got my kit today and starting to vape. Had a little trouble finding out if the batteries require initial charging or not lol. Then had to work out the assembly but yea its totally worth it. No need to worry about the odor plus my mum actually thought I sprayed the room with air freshener lol.

Just want to ask if I use the cartridges/bottles sent to me, if I want to replace them with the e-liquid I got, do I simply wash them out and drip the new one in? Must I ensure no water droplets etc?
