Maybe cause your older and have an edge?...I'm 23, and having just left my teens, I have always been conscious of not doing anything that promotes the image of today's youth being uncaring. Plus if I look like a teen, I feel like it will be assumed that I'm doing something wrong.

It might be because we are older that we don't worry so much about people looking at us.... but I am more inclined to think that it is because we were raised in a time when you didn't have to worry so much about asking permission for every little thing you wanted to do.

Now it feels to me that we are being forced to wonder if we can do anything before we do it.... it this allowed? is that allowed? instead of assuming that we are free to do most anything we want.

If a cop sees me vaping in my car should I really have to worry about it? Just seems to me that we have moved into a time that we assume everything is illegal until some one us tells it is OK, instead of the other way around.

I would hesitate to expose people to anything that they might not wish to be around ( even if its considered harmless ) and wish others would do the same in return ( like scratching your nuts while staring at the dunkin donuts menu)

Sorry about that. Wasn't thinking. The menu is confusing.

I'm still waiting for a chance to do that to a cop so I can demonstrate that I clearly understand my 4th amendment rights when he pulls me over out of ignorance.
You can bet that when it happens, I will refer to my device as my P.E.N.I.S. (Personal electronic nicotine inhalation system) and ask him if he wants to see it.

I'm getting sick of it, frankly. You said it beautifully and there's not much more to say.

EL OH EL!!

I vape whenever/wherever. Some of our regular venues are aware of my PV and have given me their grace and will explain to other customers. Moreso, than not, tho, I don't worry with explaining. I take it for granted. I have yet to be confronted. I have explained "hwat that thing is" to a few servers here and there, but have been given no guff about using it.

I think as long as you carry on about your business, vaping as you feel like, without regard for if someone's going to be offended or cause a ruckus, it's perfectly acceptebale to use your P.E.N.I.S. anywhere. I'd refrain in a church or some other sacred establihment like a funeral home, but as far as the grocery store, my PV helps me get through the insanity there! Vape away I say! I'm almost 40, so IDGAD what other people think, mostly.

I'm guessing you haven't dealt with many cops. But if you get a chance by all means tell him how ignorant he is for pulling you over and tell him all about your 4th amendment rights and see how that goes for you. Maybe cops are a lot nicer where you live than they are here. Oh and don't forget to ask him if he wants to see your P.E.N.I.S.

Yeah, I vape anywhere I want whenever I want and don't really care what or if anyone says anything about it. In fact, most places don't seem to have any problem with it whatsoever. The tellers at the bank actually know what kind of e-liquid I'm using because of the smell (coffee, menthol, cinnamon roll, etc.) and the cashiers at fast food joints enjoy it too. Although I do tend to get a few strange looks when I'm vaping at the gas pump.

I've been vaping a full GGTS with odysseus in the bus to and from work lately...short lil puffs to make as less vapor as possible but still having a somewhat satisfying vape;so I guess i am neither obnoxious nor conspicuous, but that big long shiney thing is hard to miss.

Not a peep yet.

I do not vape where I wouldn't have smoked. Because I don't particularly want the whole store full of people staring at the woman with all the kids vaping in the grocery store. Basically, it's because I'm not comfortable with everyone staring at me, and I already draw plenty of attention when I go out with the kids.

I do however breastfeed in public, and if you don't want to see it, then feel free to avert your eyes. My baby NEEDS to eat, regardless of where we are. I WILL NOT let my baby be hungry, even for a minute, to preserve someones sensitivities.

If there aren't huge clouds of vapor, people don't actually notice. I was at dinner with some friends, vaping discreetly at the table, and one asked me if i was still using that e-cig thing.

my thinking is that if you're sending out billowing clouds of vapor then common courtesy would be not to do it in the middle of a restaurant or grocery store. But if there isn't visible vapor then there's also nothing that is going to freak people out.

Point taken and I'm grinning. You are right.... I would get my .... whipped if I acted like I came across as I intended to.

No doubt! Lol!
The truth is, guys that look like me rarely get pulled over and harassed anyway like I did when I was younger, had long hair and drove an 8 year old car.
I sometimes wish they would try pulling me over now and ask if they could search my truck, but it ain't gonna happen and if it did, it probably wouldn't go as well as it does in my fantasy.
