Maybe cause your older and have an edge?...I'm 23, and having just left my teens, I have always been conscious of not doing anything that promotes the image of today's youth being uncaring. Plus if I look like a teen, I feel like it will be assumed that I'm doing something wrong.
KUDOS ... Wish I wrote thatIt might be because we are older that we don't worry so much about people looking at us.... but I am more inclined to think that it is because we were raised in a time when you didn't have to worry so much about asking permission for every little thing you wanted to do.
Now it feels to me that we are being forced to wonder if we can do anything before we do it.... it this allowed? is that allowed? instead of assuming that we are free to do most anything we want.
If a cop sees me vaping in my car should I really have to worry about it? Just seems to me that we have moved into a time that we assume everything is illegal until some one tells it is OK, instead of the other way around.

I would hesitate to expose people to anything that they might not wish to be around ( even if its considered harmless ) and wish others would do the same in return ( like scratching your nuts while staring at the dunkin donuts menu)

I'm getting sick of it, frankly. You said it beautifully and there's not much more to say.If a cop sees me vaping in my car should I really have to worry about it? EL OH EL!!I'm still waiting for a chance to do that to a cop so I can demonstrate that I clearly understand my 4th amendment rights when he pulls me over out of ignorance.
You can bet that when it happens, I will refer to my device as my P.E.N.I.S. (Personal electronic nicotine inhalation system) and ask him if he wants to see it.
Well the one time I went to a church (wedding) I was vaping up a storm...
I was not sitting in the main area, however. Take what you can; give nothing back!

I'm guessing you haven't dealt with many cops. But if you get a chance by all means tell him how ignorant he is for pulling you over and tell him all about your 4th amendment rights and see how that goes for you. Maybe cops are a lot nicer where you live than they are here. Oh and don't forget to ask him if he wants to see your P.E.N.I.S.
I'd like to have a video of that. If you pull that in Monroe County FL, You're gonna get handed one big can of whup ....
