So what's this I hear about vaping raising blood sugar, I think its BS. I'm hyperglycemic but my blood sugar is not affected by my vaping. Think its a total load of BS. Any thoughts...
I'm insulin dependant type 1/and have been since age 6. I haven't noticed my sugars doing anything different. Where did you hear this?

I'm also type 2,and kept a very close eye on my sugars during the month of August, and say no impact on my blood glucose levels. I was testing 5 times a day for the entire month, and kept track of everything via a spreadsheet.

I'm also a chain vaper, so if it did affect things, I probably would have seen some elevated levels.

At my next doctors appointment, I'm actually going to give the doc a copy of the spreadsheet, so he can see it.

Its not got anything to do with sugar in Eliquid I dont think there ever should be any sugar in eliquid it would probs just give a burn taste. The issue is the nicotine which increase blood pressure and can increase sugar levels (ask a dr because i have no idea why) I assume everyone here smoked before so assuming you nic consumption stays the same there should be no change. That said apparently Nic is still not good for you because you will have higher sugar levels and blood pressure than if you didn't have nic in your system. Anyway hope it helps

"If you are already diabetic or have a family history of diabetes, smoking is an especially dangerous habit to take up. Nicotine raises your blood sugar, which can make it much harder to control your diabetes if you’re already diabetic, or it can be the factor that tips the balance between being pre-diabetic and developing full blown diabetes. When you’re diabetic, poor blood sugar control significantly increases your other risks from the disease, including heart attacks and stroke."
