I'm almost completely off analogs... but I can not for the life of me get over the urge to smoke in the morning. I wake up, grab my new 401, and take a few drags, but it doesn't calm the craving. after 2 analogs in the morning, i can vape all day long and be good, even after eating.

Does anyone else have this problem? If you HAD the problem, how did you get over it? I'd really like to just quit buying cigarettes all together, but as long as I don't get over this morning problem, I'll always have them around. On the bright side, I'm down to about 3 analogs a day.

Hi and welcome! The morning cig was the hardest for me too. That is where the will power had to step in.
What I did that finally helped me get over that morning craving was up my Nic level for the first few Vapes in the morning.
I usually vape 11-15mg and instead vaped 18-24mg just until I got my fix, then switched back to my usual 11-15mg for the rest of the day.
Good luck!
Nice to see someone else from Madcity!

hey cool, someone else from the mad city :)

Ok, I just ordered a bunch of e-juice (14 bottles) today, in several mg's (18, 26, and 36), so i'll give that a shot. I normally throughout the day use a 26mg, and drop down to 18mg at night before bed.

know any place locally that sells supplies ;)

thelook is sooo right. There are certain times of the day when your nicotine intake needs to be higher. Purchase a bottle with a higher level for first vape of the day and for those stressful times. Good luck and keep on vaping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

that's what finally worked for me, high nic first thing in the AM..then once I was analog-free for a week or so it wasn't an issue . Be patient, you will get there!!!:)

Try the Butter rum he does - mmmm
Ok now my obligatory plug for TV Butter rum is outta the way (I'm a fan, what can I say? lol)...
Not all of us gave up ciggies from day 1 of our PV arriving. Some did, but a lot didn't. I am one of the 2nd group. Took me about a week or so. I found the evening ones hardest to quit lol.
What helped: Decieding not to quit. Seriously. I told myself if I wanted one to go right ahead and have it. I got some more juices - just like you are doing - from Tasty Vapor, M Ts Bakery, DIYFlavorshack and after they arrived..well I just stopped wanting the cigs.
The cigs had begun to taste really foul, horrible. My tongue and mouth tasted awful after I had one, it was really beyond comprehension that I was still smoking any, BUT, I had decided not to quit and I wanted them so..
I also made sure at first to use my PV *only* in the place where I smoked. Habitual reinforcement of my new habit was very pleasing to my subconcious lol.
Then one day came when I forgot to have any. I went to reach for one, and my brain said 'Butter rum..mmm', and I remember thinking 'Oh yeah that would be reall ynice right now' and I picked up my PV instead.
I still say to people that I haven't quit - Im just not smoking at the moment. If I really really want a cig I'll have one, but I just don't want one :)

I remember when I first quit there was a few times I would have 2-3 loaded ecigs lined up and I would just puff away, as one got hot I would set it down and grab another. My downfall was while driving, so I was known to have 2-3 loaded ecigs in my hands and just switch off. Whatever it takes for a while ;) It gets better.

I'm not aware of any places in Madison that sells PG or VG. I haven't done much looking, but in the state street area I haven't seen anything from Pipefitter or from Knuckleheads. Maybe there is something out in the westtown mall, but that's almost more inconvenient than ordering online.

As for the morning cravings, I definitely still have them. I still pick up a pack of danish for rollies and smoke a slim one to deal with the cravings. I think it might be harder for me because I not only like the buzz from cigarettes, but the flavor of fresh danish is heavenly. Rollies and nat shermans are, in my opinion, the only thing that rivals the flavor of my 402. But rollies are still a lot cheaper than even a pack of pall malls since it comes out to about 3 packs of cigarettes for $10 with filters and papers (hit knuckleheads for this, they have really top quality stuff). Plus, the inconvenience of handrolling really makes you think twice about each cigarette. I would at least give this a try since it is cheaper than regular cigarettes; and if you don't already roll your own, dealing with papers, filters, and tobacco is a lot more cumbersome than slipping a fresh cigarette out of a package in the morning. If I find out something, I'll let you know.

Listerine pocket mist - citrus blast - have it on the bedside. Blast a few puffs as soon as you turn off the alarm clock and keep blasting through to teeth-brushing and again until you're out the door. Grapefruit also makes cigarettes (but not vape) taste like bheah, so if you can stomach grapefruit/juice in the morning for at least 7 days to break the habit, go for it.

That was on my list, but decided to keep the cost down until i knew i liked it... from everything ive read, i think its almost a guarantee that I will. next order will most definitely include butter rum though, and maybe even tastyfinger :)

Ive really been doing good i think, its just the morning thing... been going a little over a week, and analogs are just starting to get obnoxious in smell and taste, other than in the morning.

I try to stay away from state street as much as possible.. but have been meaning to get down there for a few weeks now... im dying for a gyro! I'll stay away from west towne at all costs, lol, nice mall, but that damn intersection to get into the parking lot totally ruins it for me.

I think I'll pick up some rolling supplies and try that, im pretty grumpy when i wake up and like convenience.... so having to roll a smoke might be just what i need to get off the morning habit.
