With the current goodprophets HALFOFF through Feb 28 on DIY, 120 ml of 36 mg/ml unflavored plus a 30ml of the GP USA Mix - Menthol flavoring runs about $16.50. I never used their flavorings, but assuming a typical 10% maximum (high concentration things, like straight liquid menthol, are used down at just a few %, but many things end up more like 10%), that would be good for 133 ml of 32 mg/ml USA Mix - menthol eliquid (with 17 ml of the flavoring left over). No VG in it, lowish vapor production, but that would likely have pretty solid throat hit.

Anyhow, if it was me I'd just get some V4L or other company pre-made, dedicated for that hard point. Get settled in before thinking of DIY. (The above was just to give you a feel for the relative cost if you go that route later.)

Congrats on your progress........and I sympathize -- had the same problem!

My breakthrough occured when I added a second device to my kit and started using it before bedtime and when I awakened. I'm only guessing, but I suspect it was allowing me to have a higher absorbed level of nicotine. Nicotine uptake during vaping is different from smoking.

Is it the taste or the nic buzz that you are having problems with? For me it is all about the nic first, satisfaction. Now with my morning coffee, certain juices taste like .... with it, but I still get my craving filled. I use 24mg to 32mg nic juice. And have found that tobacco and caramel flavored juices go good with my morning java.
Good luck, maybe a slightly stronger nic juice in the morning would help.:2c:

Billy: The main key here is don't punish yourself, or think negative because you feel the need for a cigarette. There's tons of people on this site who still have an analog now and then -- the fact that you've removed the other 19+ daily is a huge step in the right direction... just that change alone will lead to you feeling better and being healthier in the long run. If you eventually no longer feel the need for that morning smoke, then great -- but if you don't, no one will think any less of you. Just keep in mind, cigarettes are incredibly addictive and a habitual process, and remember this mantra, "its not the ones you smoke, its the ones that you don't" :)

Edit: Also -- you might consider picking up and trying an NJoy King disposable. They have the paper-like feel and weight of a natural cigarette, and a very cigarette like flavor according to most reports. You may be able to substitute it in place of your morning routine, and more easily fool your mind into making that shift naturally. I think they run about 8 bucks per, and not quite sure how long they last -- but it might be a viable option for you. :)

I have been vaping for about 6 days now and doing better than I imagined so far. The one issue I have is I cant seem to not smoke an analog as soon as I wake up. I am good for the rest of the day after that one cigarette. I do get disappointed in myself, but am still pretty proud to have only smoked 6 analogs the past 6 days. Any advice on getting over the "first thing in the morning urge?"

I didn't read the rest of everyone's posts but I will just say this. My friend Carrie could not put down that one morning cig. She called me and asked me what she could do.

All I said was "Just for today, don't pick up the morning smoke, just today."

She hasn't had a smoke since.

Good luck my friend. One day at a time.

Great advice, but unfortunately every vendor ive ordered from only offers up to 24 MG. I will check out some vendors and perhaps order a flavor in 36 and 18 just in case it is a bit too strong for me.

DIY sounds good in theory too me, but my setup already is starting to look like a chemistry set, my wife will kill me! :)

I got 36 mg Menthol from Mount Baker's Vapors. The cool thing about the Menthol is that if the 36 mg is too high, menthol spices up a lot of flavors :)

i smoked menthol so it was my breath of fresh air in the morning and i never forced myself to quit that first cigarette. i let it happen on its own. each day i'd have one in the morning and vape durning the day and maybe sneak a smoke if the boss was a jerk. Day 6 was the last cigarette i smoked. I woke up and had places to be, grabbed the vape stick instead of the cancer stick. It happened on its own and I think thats why this time worked for me. Just a helping thought

Other than the wake up cig one transition has been surprisingly easy for me

It really annoys me when people have made a massive life changing decision to try and get off cigarettes then beat themselves up when minor set backs crop up. Take your time mate. You are doing great. Some get there sooner than others. Think of the long game and gain.

Thank you everyone for the advice. Im not really beating myself up, actually thrilled at my progress. It is nice to know others dealt with this too, and it makes sense that the body loses the nicotine while I sleep! Honestly I am just as thankful for this forum as I am for the vapor. Im thinking Saturday I am going to Vape the hell out of my Evic instead of smoking. Thank you all for the support

You are doing great, Billy. You can put off having that first ciggie and vape first. Eventually you might forget that you wanted a cig. Higher nic for first thing in the morning:)

that is what I did. first I vaped for 5 minutes, then had cig. next day I vaped and waited 10 minutes. and so on until about a week later my first cig was at 2 in the afternoon. mainly I think not stressing about it is the most helpful thing

I've been vaping 2 years and I still have 2 cigs a day - because I'm old and I want to. and I don't feel the least bit bad about it :) compared to 2 1/2 pad+, yes, no guilt

Go big or go home. some days i'll just get distracted and puff all day. i'll forget when i picked it up last. if you want it pick it up. i did the same with cigarettes however with cigarettes after too many in a row while doing nothing i felt terrible quickly and with no warning. I also refused to put it out before it was gone because i'm cheap. With that evic when you feel like your good you put it down and carry on with what you were doing. From my experience vaping has been a much better experience in that aspect as well.
