Hi All,

I sit in an office with someone else and even though I don't vape in the office, I refill my vape in the office. My office mate claims that just the smell of the juice for her could be toxic and contains the nicotine that she is inhaling in the scent. I can't find anything that proves that just the smell of the juice (pre vaping) is toxic or contains nicotine. Does anyone know the answer? I read about if someone gets the juice on their skin it can seep in and be toxic. But what about just smelling the juice? I just figured if I am not actually vaping, it isn't like she is second hand inhaling it.

This is just a fabulous question. :)

I doubt you can prove anything to her because the assumption she is making defies all the logic known to scientists since the dawn of, um, .. well, .. science. As such, nobody would have wasted time tying to disprove such a ridiculous notion.

So, actually, she wins.

Man, I feel bad for you. Insanity is alive and well and am sorry you are having to put up with this.

Actually, she is just making lame excuses to oppress you.

The only toxin (I think we can safely use that term) in e-liquid is the Nicotine. Everything else is close to harmless and all the flavors are food grade so safe to consume.
The toxins won't exist in the air around you when you are filling your tank. (We could make that happen with science of course.) The aromas can extend past the boundaries of the liquid, but the Nicotine cannot 'travel through the air' so to speak.

Welcome and glad you joined. Always a few who like to think up ways to infringe on others. Give me a break. I would just not fill up in front of her and let it go. You are in a losing proposition.
