Once you start vaping, I think you'll find that if you've ever smoked within half an hour of being around these people... they knew you smoked. You will be AMAZED at how powerful that smell is, and there's no way they don't know what's up.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I suspect they're not saying anything out of respect for the fact that you don't smoke around them.

I'm actually starting to wonder if vaping somehow makes us more sensitive to cigarette smoke/smell, but truly that smell is strong... stronger even than you might have thought before you started smoking.

I don't think so
One time I could not smoke for 30 days and I got to be the same way
vaping now, I can detect it just like I could then

I think we were just so desensitized when we were smoking, it's difficult to believe it's such a strong smell, now... because when I smoked, I couldn't smell it at all.

Like they say SDH "you cant please everyone". Ask him if he would like you to go back to analogs. In NYC I used to buy them for $12.50 a pack before I started vaping.

The cheapest brand in Wisconsin is pall malls at around 6 per pack. I still smoke two a day...I am trying to give them up....but no longer smoke cigs around people. A pack lasts a long time now. Considering I use to buy smokes everyday! LOL 12.50???? I would never pay that!
Hubby is .... with any type of chemicals. I have to use natural products to clean.

Definitely desensitized. When I smoked analogs, I was under the impression that smoking outside and washing my hands afterwards/popping a mint took away any odor there may have been - it doesn't. Yeah, it helps but the smell is still there and I didn't realize it until I started vaping and did a smell check on some of my work suits (yuk). That in itself is a little traumatic - realizing that I smelled like that.

The smell of cigarettes no longer attracts me at all, in fact it's downright repulsive. Definitely not going to become one of those militant and annoying ex-smokers but it's just the senses changing due to vaping.

Hey, slyfox. I am new to vaping (1 month) and have only tried some stock menthol carts. May I ask where you got honey flavored liquid? I am a beekeeper and I would love to get a honey flavor!

Sorry, I didn't see this, It came from ReNu, double shot, I tried it again this am to see if it changed any but it still smells like old roses that have died. I was a florist so that is why the floral association.

You might be able to use it to blend with other juices since you got a double shot. Might go better with something rather than vaping it plain.

I think it does make us more sensitive. I've quit analogs before for months on end. Each and every time smoke still smelled absolutely wonderful to me. I'd go out with the still smoking crowd on occasion and absolutely love the smell. My son has been vaping along with me for the last 17 days. 2 nights ago he bummed a couple of analogs from a friend and was smoking them in the house. It was horrible. The smoke was choking me and my eyes were tearing up. I had to leave the den. So I banned them from my house. If he ever uses analogs again he knows he has to go outside to smoke them. This from someone who smoked in her home for 34 years.

If I have to go into stealth vaping mode, I have some really strong coffee ejuice from Johnson Creek that I use. It smells just like fresh brewed coffee and no one has complained about it yet. Note: The Johnson Creek is rather thick so you will need to clean your atty more often if you use it, but it seems to last longer than most others.

It's interesting, because... 20 years ago people would have said, $5 a pack?!! I'd never pay that... Heh :)

In the lobby in which I work, I have no problem with the smell of eliquids it's the persistence of the vapor. I have to use PG based juices but there is still a short lived cloud that a few folks notice. They look quizzically at it, me and then around the area...often looking like they had a hallucination or a trick of their eyes and as it doesn't linger, neither do they.
Some ostentatiously sniff the air, like a small animal but smell nothing unusual.

Some notice the eGo in my hand but don't associate it with the vapor.
To help their perception, I hold the eGo like a pen, perhaps tapping my teeth. I can be a sneaky guy sometimes. :)
