After thoroughly spoiling the girls (daughter and girlfriend) for Christmas I decided its time to step up my vape game. Exciting! So I have in the mail on the way... Svd some nice batteries (don't remember exactly which ones) and a nite core I charger along with tons of flavors and some good ol' protank 3 heads too. I'm really interested in getting a rebuildable/genesis/dripper what works well with the svd? Let me know of your experiences with the svd! Thanks!! Happy holidays!

IMO, the best thing to learn on, is the Igo-L.

Its cheap, so no worries there. Its also very simple, so while anyone can get going with it, once you DO get the hang of it, its a great rebuildable dripper(RDA).

The reason why I suggest this one, is because the air hole doesn't need to be modified out of the box. Its a little small for cloud chasing, for otherwise its fine.

And if you want a Genesis style, I suggest the RSST. For first time genesis builders, its great. And like the Igo-L, its a solid device on its own.

For the dripper, and since your on a VV device, get 32gauge kanthal. 32gauge is higher resistance than 30gauge, and for a VV device, ideal. Perhaps some 30 as well. Also gonna need silica. I like 3mm. 2mm is good too. Also might want to get some cotton.. either organic cotton balls, or sterile rolled cotton from CVS or the like.

For the Genesis, same wire, but get some SS mesh as well. I personally use only 400, but anything from 325 to 500 is used.

Since you're building on a Vv device, the lowest resistance you're going to want to build, is 1.3, and Id probably make it 1.5

Thanks guys, very helpful. I appreciate it. Going to get a moderately cheap rebuildable here in the near future. Just searching for the ultimate taste and vapor production. Stepping up from those little throwaway plastic tanks to the protanks (had the mini protank 2 v2 and currently using protank 3) was a huge step up in flavor and vapor. I hear an rda will be even better. Exciting. Loving this svd so far btw!

Small drippers gives you the best flavor the mini rda from fasttech.com (4$ or so) has a good vapor production but the thing making it truly great in my opinion is the flavor production wich in my opinion is way better than with the igo... BUT the mini rda is a low quality dripper where the igo is alot better quality... If you want to opportunity to do cloud chasing or just got big fingers get the helios from fasttech... It has adjustable air ring and a bigass 2.9mm airhole under the ring and its really easy to rebuild and is less than 10$

For the genny i would say get 400mesh if you use a heavy vg mix but with higher pg 500-600 might be better

28g kanthal is good for low res 30 for medium res and 32 for the high res but for me the 28 is alot easier to work with because its not ad prone to snapping

Get some cheap cotton and boil it and try bedding in your rda it gives good flavor and holds a few more drops than silica wick

I'm usually pretty excited for vape mail. Just had my bad experience.. Ordered the day before thanksgiving from a us vendor. (Won't name em cause I don't want to seem like I'm bashing them) and I just got my stuff finally TODAY.. And well tis the season for online Christmas shopping and I've done a ton in the last few weeks... And I ordered this well before about 6 other sites. This got here way after. Ontop of that... My order was JACKED. I'm on my last PT3 coil and badly need one as I've sold my other tanks... So I get my mail today and they write on my packing sheet sorry for not giving you protank 3 heads here's some regular protank heads that should hold you over... They refunded me $4 and gave me 2 1.8 ohm regular coils that do NOT work in my PT3.. And ontop of that I paid $8.99 for a 5 pack of pt3 coils.. Got 2 useless coils and not even all of my money back.... Pretty irritated right now! Being a manager of a retail shop myself... Thoroughly unimpressed and let down by the customer service. Going to see if they will make it right tomorrow. Hopefully they will! Okay rant over.
