i would have gone to the ones on the east side but money got in the way! i would love to team up with someone to help me set one up but i sadly all my local friends are all analog lovers and would not help me. hope maybe someone on ecf would be willing help.

Hi Brandee, having done this twice it's not that hard really. First find out if there is any interest (how many would maybe attend), find a bar in grand rapids that has good food and would have us and let us vape. Find out what dates are available at the bar. Then come back here and post the dates it's available and have people vote on what date they want. Once date is set. Your good to go. I think Grand Rapids is a great place. Might try Snug Harbor. Hope that is a bit of help for you. With Winter coming may have weather problems. Might be a good spring meet.

We've met a few left coasters Wiz. CartHeadMod is from Holland and zomzom's from K-zoo (I think that counts).

Sure Wiz. Be happy to. GR is straight out I-96 though and I-96 is an hour north of me. I take 127 north to catch 96 in Lansing so if you wanted to ride from here It would take you an hour and a half to get to my house and then another 2 hours(ish) for us to get to GR from here. That would be fine with me if you want to travel for that long.
If this ever materializes I'd get a room out there and stay the night. My wife and I love to go to Grand Rapids so I'm sure she'd go to this meet. We'd have to go to the Frederic Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park the next day. We love that place.
Wolfgang's in Easttown is an awesome place for breakfast too.

I will check with my friends to see if they still own the bar they used to, it's across from the ART School downtown. I'll see what I can come up with.

I am so overstocked right now, it's crazy, but I'm always looking to try new stuff. Hell, we could make it a swap meet, too!

I agree Mist, I am insanely busy right now, with graduation and finals in just a few weeks, then the Christmas rush..... So let's shoot for Jan 14/15 or Jan 21/22. We should probably start a group, give it a name, and a website. I have already found a bar that will have us. I can head all this if you guys are interested in making this a real club. No fees or anything. We can hold monthly meetings, have raffles, eat, drink and party. Soooo let's come up with a name....

I thought that this was our website and that we already were "Michigan vapers". This would actually be the 4th meet for many of us. The first two were at the White Lake Inn and the last one was out here by me in the Irish Hills area. My wife and I love visiting the Grand Rapids / Holland area so we'd most likely get a room and stay the night. It's about a 2 hour drive for me. I'm a half hour south of Jackson.
There have been folks from the left side at the other meets. Zomzom and her husband are from Kalamazoo and CartHeadMod was at the first one. He lives in Holland.

I guess I was thinking that one club for the whole state would be a little though to do. I was thining that a registered organization would be better for Michigan vapers when we will eventually need to deal the the FDA. I'm thinking towards the future. Anyone agree? Or I could just shut my mouth haha.

I was going to try to set something up at a central location so most of us would be driving the same distance but hell it doesn't matter. Someone's gotta take the bull by the horns and just do it and see what happens! Keep us posted
