Hey all,

N00b, I tried Blu disposables cause allergies and crap have been bad in AZ, and I've been smoking tooooo much! having trouble breathing etc.

Anyway thought Blu was OK, and it was close "walgreens" so I got the starter kit... Boy that sucked BAD! I brought it bad 2 days later got my 72 $ back.. (got some carto's)

Anyway nothing's changed - oh and btw I can't post or reply to anyone so I'm posting here like I' supposed to? :)

Still want to quit I've had 1/2 the amount of analogs or less just from disposables but I need something I can't' spend $10 on dispo's

So I came here and noticed several people suggesting Halo G6 for newbies like me... so I checked it out and some other site - something about Halo kept me hooked , maybe the logo :)

I ordered a starter Kit 78mm with auto and manual and a sample tin of juice - around 11am this morning

I'm waiting the only juice flavors I've tried are BLU's

Cannot want for my g6 - so what will I want to upgrade two in a couple weeks? :)

Anyway thanks for reading and HI ALL!

I almost always recommend folks start with an Ego style PV. It generally provides a solid experience to start vaping.

I started with a crappy mall ecig and that caused me to swear off ecigs altogether. 2 years later I purchased an Ego and that worked enough to get me off of analogs. Get something that works first, then you can move to the next thing you want to try....or, if you've got pocket Aces and you're going all in, order a Provari and your mod list will remain a lot shorter.

My list in order:
Mall eCig > Ego > Silver Bullet > Ego Twist (Variable voltage battery for ego) > near future (Provari)

Whats the different in Ego/510 etc bedsides 2-3 piece?

510 is a thread pattern designation. Anything with a 510 threading will accept an atomizer or cartomizer with male 510 threads.

Ego is a bit different. It has 510 threads on the inside of the female part of the battery connector, so it'll attach to a standard 510 male threaded carto, etc. BUT, it also has 2 more threads on it. The battery connector is raised and has another set of threads on the outside of it. Those threads mate with the threads on the inside of the "skirt" that surrounds the male part of a cartomizer or atomizer that is specifically made for an eGo. So, on an eGo, the carto not only threads into the female part of the battery connector, but also around the outside of it.

Then, the eGo has a THIRD set of threads, lower down on the device from the battery connector. Those threads accept the cone that fits over the cartomizer or atomizer.

Bottom line is that you can use any 510 carto/atty on an eGo, but you can't use any eGo specific carto/atty on any 510 device because a normal 510 battery has a recessed connection without that second set of threads for the skirt. There are, however, adapters that will allow you to use an eGo carto on a regular 510 connector.

Beyond that, eGo's are usually regulated to output 3.4V. Most "non-eGo" fixed voltage 510 devices are unregulated and operate at 4.2V to 3.7V, depending on how drained the battery is at any given moment. That does not apply, of course, to variable voltage 510 devices.

Clear as mud?

Was watching the volcano tube deal, the Provari seems like you have to hit the button 14 times to do anything... which is better?

Hey bdean, congrats!! The only thing you have to worry about now is your new hobby :D! I started ten days ago, and I already have a new Lavatube and a couple of Ego Twists with Stardusts (along with some Highbrow and Backwoods juice) coming in the mail next week. I hope you have the same awesome experience so many here have had!

If you're in the phx metro area there's a b&m on the west side named zikwid. There's also a vapers meet (i think it's on the 20th) at sunup brewery in phx. I've only been to 1 meet but i met a bunch of kool, seasoned vapers there who were both friendly and knowledgeable. I'm using the ecf app on my phone at work right now but if you're interested i can send you the exact info (zikwid address and meet time/address) manana when i get to my laptop.
