also, the difference between the MVP and other devices (square or cylindrical) is more of a matter of preference than anything else. as for the tank (where the liquid goes and screws onto the device) one of the best ones that most of the community would agree on is the Kanger Protank II OR the iClear 30. both have swappable coils in them so you can use them for about 2 weeks or so before you should change the coils. and coils go for about $3 each and sometimes cheaper

You refill the tanks not change them. The tank coils need cleaning/changing but hard to say how often with all the variables. I clean my coils every 2-3 tanks and replace the heads every 3-4 weeks but like I said, lots of variables. Do order some extra heads for your clearo's.

18 mg is a good place for a lot of people to start.

Ordering from China is a fun and cheap way to play around with different gear but save that for later.

Mg of nic will depend on how and what you smoked as far as analogs I smoked two packs of marlboro red started at 24 down to 16 now

don't blame you on the wait but at least it gives you a starting point to browse and see what you may or may not like they sell just about everything.

A coil will last me a week before I need to clean them and as long as you clean them you should get some good use out of them, just depends....

strength...others will disagree...but I always suggest at least 24mg nic for starting to help transition and lessen some of the withdraws, because even though you are still getting nic you aren't getting all the tar and other chemicals that are in cigs usually i'd say typically people go through withdraw for about 2 months until they get all the other crap out of their lungs and system...
you can always buy different levels of nic though for days that you may not need that high or for days when nic fits are bad you'll be happy to have the higher nic....
also there are tips and tricks to vaping...as it is not like smoking....inhail in mouth and exhail through nostrils will help the nic absorb better, you don't have to actually draw it into your lungs and most new vapors find it irratating to draw into lungs at first
think of this, vapor is mostly water based and you don't want water in your lungs

I can't seem to find the strength of the battery in the MVP2. Just wondering if it's going to last all day if i'm hauling on it while i try to kick the habit.

yes there are wicks...
everything has a wick...bottom coil tanks like protanks you unscrew the bottom of the tank and the coil/wick (atty/heads) are in the bottom...you clean these about once a week and they should last you well a while...just really depends...there are all kinds of cleaning methods, most pretty much just set them in boiling water over night then let dry and good to go...

or if you don't want to, you can get them cheap and just toss them out and not worry with cleaning....that's all up to you....depends on how much money you want to spend/save/ect

Alright, what's the difference between the MVP2 and the iTaste VTR?

The MVP2 is a big passthrough battery with electronics stuck onto it to conveniently power your ecig.
Passthrough means you can vape on it while it's plugged in for charging.

The VTR is an electronics box to power your ecig; you buy a rechargeable battery and charger to put in it.

For something rugged to work in a remote area you might want to look at the REO box.

Either way you'd still need to be able to get batteries and I'm wondering about whether you will get batteries through the mail.

You can also get a vv usb mini passthrough for power off usb cable instead of portable batteries.

Normally I'd recommend something like an mvp2 and miniprotank2 as a great startup kit, but you'd need to get 5 to 10 spare atomizer heads to start with, and either be able to get replacement heads of learn to clean and rebuild them.
(btw I'm not a veteran vape; less than a year in)

But sounds like you need to head towards rebuildables; the REOs are mostly rebuildables.

Otherwise there's the kayfuns + something else for power.

Get 2 tanks, and use 2 strengths. 24mg and 6mg.

Convenient to use the 6 most times, then only take a brief hit of the 24 on occasion; or otherwise.

They all have wicks; bottom coil tanks have the wicks at the bottom; the liquid naturally moves downwards anyway so the wicks are short; the heating coils is wrapped around the center of the wick.
topcoil tanks have the coil at the top with long wicks hanging downwards to reach the liquid and the liquid has to get up the wick to get to the coil.

Oh yeah it'll last you all day and probably some of tomorrow depending at what wattage or voltage you run it on.

You replace the coil in the clearomizer. The coil is the wick and wire combined.

I can vape heavy and hard on my MVP for 1.5 days. One of the best features of the device. It is stated at 2600mah but it last much, much longer than a 2600 18650.

You have your order. MVP, I30, a PT 2 and a few extra coils for each. Now all you need is some juice and you can be smoke free in just a few days!

What is the big advantage. I'm seeing this Russian atomizer thing and it's expensive. What are the benefits of buying them?

I recommend using a tank that uses the eGo threads and not the small 510 threads as most tanks do.

The miniprotank2 uses the eGo threads.

I also recommend using pyrex/glass tanks, and not plastic tanks.

i actually use protanks, but I use the base from the miniprotank on them; yes they fit; eGo threaded. plus I drill open the airholes

a mech mod is nothing more than a tube and a battery where as a regulated mod has electrical parts to it for the variable voltage/watage and other such things

russian atomizer is just another juice delivery system....but with these you can't just buy a stock coil (atty/head) you have to actaually build your own with wicks and wires

Don't worry about mech mods as a new vaper; better to start with a regulated power supply for safety and being able to measure stuff like power and ohms on board.


The Russian is a rebuildable. Similar to the kayfun; you get your own wire, and you use cotton for wicks; you wrap your own coils; its a proper rebuildable with bolts and nuts kind of thing instead of struggling to try to rebuild a tiny protank type size coil.
