Wow so much information. Thanks everyone for the love! I think this was the most welcoming forum I have ever joined :toast:

To be brief,
I don't have a "setup" yet. I got to borrow a cheap plastic clearomizer with an unknown flavor ejuice from my friend.
I've been searching all over and haven't really decided what I want yet. LOL.

I have been eyeing the Ebaron Dripper Pro as the "office" setup but not sure what I want for a "on the go" setup. Not scared of learning some DIY but for some ODD reason everything I like is super hard to find or needs to be shipped from UK or Asia :(

It's been overwhelming but I'm exited to finally be able to say bye to cigs.

You guys convinced me to keep the Provape for now and go from there.

Many many thank yous to all of yous!!! :)

Can't go wrong with ProVari.

The problem with clearos on a ProVari is that some of the good ones, like Kanger T3 and eVod, will require an adapter (510>eGo) as many are eGo-threaded--hence my recommendation to consider a sigelei mini in the future.

For now, I really like Kanger ProTank on a ProVari. It's user friendly and performs very well. I would get one ASAP, while you're researching other options.

For something on the go, you'd be looking at a tank setup of sorts. I've found that I like cartomizers (just ordered a cartotank from IBTanked), buy a single from a local shop, they're less than $2, and give it a shot. Baditude has an awesome blog post about cartomizers and how to fill them, punch them, and tank them. You can also youtube some how-to videos.

There are also top and bottom coil wick tanks, top being something like a vivi nova or an iclear. Bottom coils would be a kanger t3 or kanger protank, protank being more expensive but much nicer looking on a provari and supposedly much improved, and with a glass tank. I've had poor luck with the Kanger t3s leaking juice onto my ego, but there are workarounds and improvements that you can search, if you're down to tinker a bit.

On that note, you should know that cinnamon and citric flavored juices, and apparently banana, can melt or crack polycarbonate plastic tanks. Glass and polyurethane are safe to use with said juices.

Drippers require that you continuously drip several drops every few puffs, which in your case would be fine for the office or at home.

RBA's are rebuildable atomizers, and you can make and use your own wicks and coils, but you should research how to properly roll wicks and wrap coils around them before attempting. They can save you a lot of money in the long-run, but require a lot of fiddling until you get it down.

Edit: Katya mentioned it first, but you might invest in a 510>eGo thread adapter, especially for some of the cheaper clearomizers if you're trying to test some stuff out with minimal investment.

Yup! Bad's blog is a must read:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...k-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

And the easiest and cheapest introduction to carto tanks:

http://vapelite.info/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_81&products_id=298

For $4.75 you get a fully assembled carto tank complete with a laser prepunched LR Boge cartomizer already installed--just fill and vape! I own and use one and I like it a lot.

Warning--one bad word in the video... Sorry. But it's a good video.

Hello Livelife,

Welcome, also a newbie, quit analogs 1 month ago. Vaping happily ever since!!

If I were you, I'd hang on to that Provari, even if you don't use it. Get yourself an Ego-Type to start off with.

But after a while you'll be wanting to upgrade to a bigger device, and then you'll be happy you kept the Provari.

Personally, I've never owned one, but I hear good things about it.

I started on an Ego-C Upgrade Battery and a Kanger MT-3 Clearomiser, 4 days later I bought my Ego-T 18650 Mod Battery and been loving it ever since!!

I use the small Ego-C Upgrade for when I go out, and the Big Mod for work & home. Perfect setup for me at the moment, allthough I have been Eyeing an EVic :p

Since they say the tank is made of aluminum and plastic, I would think he would be better off choosing one with a glass tank. There are so many things up in the air, especially when you're new, and having to keep track of whether your e-juice is one that will melt plastic, is so easy to avoid by just getting a glass tank.

These are awesome! The 19mm is the same diameter as the threaded tip end of the Provari and the 22mm is the same diameter as the body of the Provari. They are SS and pyrex glass and hard to beat for the price. They also have a special for cartomizers for $1.35 each if you buy 10. If you get XL tank, get XL cartomizers. Also grab a cool SS tip as they come with a long acrylic tip (which helps you fill but don't like to vape with it). Also the tank ships in little plastic protective bottles, they call Thingies. One SS & pyrex 19mm tank, one carto, extra O-rings, one fill tip and a thingie for $25 plus $3 shipping is a killer deal. And they will paint it for you with heat treated glass paint for an extra $5 if you like too. Personally I got all XL tanks for more juice. But the 25mm is a little too big looking on the Provari.

Fill up a tank of your favorite juice and vape all day.

Get one. :)

I have two--and I've been using them for a month with no issues. This is the cheapest introduction to carto tanks--and it's a good one. If you don't like the concept, throw it out and move on to something else. If you like the idea, or have problems with the current setup, you can invest more money and start buying more expensive stuff.

You may not even care for carto tanks--they are fiddly and a lot people feel that they can taste polyfill in the cartomizer. I can. Doesn't bother me that much, but I can taste it. And I don't like fiddly. I like to to fill and vape--then replace the coil, line in a ProTank--fill and vape again.

Nothing is perfect. Try different setups and see what works for you. There is no other way.

Good luck!

I wouldn't recommend using juices that melt or crack plastic--just imagine what they could do to your lungs. :D

While the idea of trying a cheap carto/tank to see if you like it should be a good one, provided it is a reasonably good tank and cartomizer. Thankfully I had tried good ones to begin with, as when I tried a couple of cheapies from the local vape store, they were horrible. Had those been my only experience, I would not like them. Sadly, the young guys working in the vape store were trying to tell me carto/tanks suck, they only use clearomizers or tanks with wicks (can't remember the name). I just told them maybe if they would carry and/or try better quality, they would have different opinions. Even using good clearomizers with 4 or more wicks, always seemed to burn a wick now and then, which ruins the taste till you change it. But of course, everyone has different experiences and preferences. Can't see myself using anything else, unless I was to play with RBAs. But even then, would still keep tank/cartos.
