Hello all

Just wondering looking for a upgrade from my pen vape, looking for something decent and has a good battery (most important for me) was looking at the alien smok if anyone has tried? Just one question I have with this vape why is there so many watts and what is the advantages being higher watt or lower watt if anyone could answer?

Thanks all.

I was looking at your other posts.

If you're working up from a pen, then the next step would be a good single battery mod out there that supports 50-80 watts. It seems the market now is either single 18650 mods, or three/four battery mods. Very few two battery mods out there (like 5-6... the smok 220w being one of them). Currently, I use an Eleaf Aster With a kepler heat sink on top and a Goblin Mini as my main setup due to the size Vs. quality balance. So far, this setup has been rock solid. The Goblin Mini is a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (RTA) and I have a .7 ohm build on it. Vapes great. At home, I use a Releaux RX200 with a 25mm Kepler on top and a Smok TFV4 atomizer. That also has been rock solid, although the black paint on the Releaux easily scratches, and there are newer atomizers out there, I am still happy with mine.

For looks, I use the Smok Guardian III, a kepler sink with a black Griffin style atomizer on top. The guardian is plastic, and I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling when using it, I always feel like the button hesitates, and will soon start sticking, but so far, that has been reliable.

So, I can tell you that those options are good with the exception of the guardian, which is more of a novelty vape. I hope that helps some.

Sorry but don't think your correct with the not many 2 18650 mods out there. I just got 2 new ones in the Cartel Revenant and Lost Vape Therion. I can go on here and name about 50 more. Now you are correct that recently there have been some 3 and 4 battery mods released, but the double 18650 still has way way more.

I vape between 30-65 watts on very rare occasion I'll do a fun 4-6 coil build and push it to 100 watts but generally I use 200 watt devices just because that's all that is available in dual 18650 mods..

I will also agree with Eskie. ( Thanks for all the help throughout the past few months btw ) I just got back into vaping , and just got my alien mod kit, a Cleito 120 tank, sony vtc5 batteries, and a LUC v4 charger.. I have 4 juices coming tomorrow, so I'll try the 120 then, but as for the Alien and the baby beast tank that comes with the kit, I am more than happy .. Great flavor, and vapor , and really liking Sub Ohm'ing more than MTL.. Even tho I was skeptical , as I thought mtl was just fine for me..

The 3 mods I were looking at were these , Got the Alien and will Probably pick up the other 2 as well, just for the fact the complete mod kit is about as expensive as just buying a tank!

Low wattage
Innokin Endura T22 Starter Kit

mid level
iStick Pico Kit by Eleaf $26.99

Hi wattage
Smok Alien 220W Mod $49.99

I try to help, but never rely on just one person's opinion. I followed that link for the Alien, and the $49.99 is for the mod only. However, you can get the full gunmetal kit, with tank, for $55.99. Or buy the tank alone for $16.99. Kits are better values. That's also one of the better prices (the kit) I've seen from a US vendor so no waiting on the boat from China.

I recently had to replace a CF4 I busted after a drop onto stone (it still worked but the deck bent, and I just didn't trust it). Went back to MVS where I first bought one and found the $39.99 mod only out of stock. But I could buy a full kit with tank for $39.99. Now I've got an extra tank rattling around in my drawer.

From owning both the Pico and the Alien I can honestly say they are both quality MOD's and I am very happy with both. The Pico is great for stealthy and pocket-ability and the Alien is a sturdy well constructed MOD but a bit heavier and bulkier. Either is a good choice but the Alien will allow you to advance or upgrade your tanks/coils more in the future because of the higher wattage. But even using TC not many I actually vape over 75 Watts but I do.
