The butler does a really fine job of cleaning but he really sucks at drying so I for now I just do it myself.
I take the atty apart to include o'rings, gaskets, etc... rinse each under running hot water as hot as i can stand, while rinsing i rotate the AFC to get any juice that may be hiding in there. Once thoroughly rinses i place all parts in a small container and pour in enough boiling water to cover them and let them sit. If really dirty I would replace the boiling water a couple of times but I clean my attys frequently so they never really get nasty. Once the water is cool I remove the parts wipe dry then blow out dry with LP air from an oil free compressor or can of air like those used for dusting PCs. Next I let sit overnight to make sure they are dry. At this point they are ready to go back in to rotation. When I reassemble I check o'ring condition and all sealing/mating surfaces.
I sue Everclear with coils I think I want to try and salvage and new tanks just out of the box.
