Is it safe to use this battery?

Hey guys, my fasttech Twist clone came in with a popped-up center pin - it springs up on one side no matter how much I try to push it back down. (This isn't the Spinner battery that's giving me so much famous trouble.) However, before I realized it was broken, it did charge for a minute, and it did fire upon pressing the button (didn't test it with a cartomizer or anything.) Would it be safe to test out this battery in comparison to my Spinner? Is there really any harm in the center pin springing up a little, especially if the carto just presses it back down? Or would this thing blow up in my face?

The State of Confusion
I am unfamiliar with your mod, is this a "all-one" battery, like it's the the handle with fire button, all together etc., ?

Any time a battery of any nature has case or contact issues it can cause performance issues, and can also cause higher or lower resistance in its contacts to the source or what it contacts to power.

That said I wouldn't necessarily say it will blow up, but it could be a safety issue, note I said could...

if you got it from a local shop or even on line I would see if you can get it replaced, if for nothing else peace of mind.

Just my :2c: worth....

also just for the record of all people vaping there have only been a limited number of battery explosions reported, but one is too much!

I tried taking a picture but it didn't really convey it good. The center pin inside the battery connector is simply cocked up by a centimeter or so on one side, and you can push it back down, and it springs back up. Imagine a mating turtle. It's not like completely popped out like a Jack in the box, but enough where you know it's messed up.

Lol to each there own. A crooked pin wouldn't concern me much. Enough to get it replaced but not to worry about blowing up. Unless it's touching the sides. But i suppose it always the best to air on the side of caution. I love that movie btw
possibly...but why risk it

Remember Li Ion batteries are sealed and pressurized, short and possible kablooey

In your hand, next to your face...why risk it

I personally have had one vent...but I would rather not find out

I have fixed the pins on mine before, tweaked em..yadda yadda, I like to tinker and tear into old/defective devices...but that's just me (highly inadvisable if you don't know what you are doing), some people aren't OP's question shows they are already questioning it, brand spanking new...even el-cheapo Chinese clone...send it back (sux having to wait again)

I guess you mean a millimeter, not centimeter. I would not use it. 1 mm is a lot and I don't know what it looks like lower down or why it's that bent. My vote is to try to return it.
