ECF: @Mowgli recommends 1oz/2oz for mixing tests...but that seems very small
I don't know where you got that from. Must have been someone else or years ago.

I always mix in a 60ml (62), 120ml (132) or 240ml (250)
I use 60ml plastic bottles for finished juice (after ultrasonic)

My DIY is simple -
MBV or FW. All designed to work at the same concentration. Simple.
I found about a dozen Nude Nicotine flavors that I like for PG free flavors.
I mix all the NN flavors that I use at 6% in a 3PG (3mg PG nic) mix (with ~3% saline)
I make Hangsen RY1 for my friend's Dad. Otherwise it's all MBV, FW or NN.
That gives me about 30 flavors that I love between the two plus a few NN for Max VG.
Out of over 100 that I tried.
There were a few others that I liked but why vape likes when I have such a menu of loves.

Simple to me is mix in the glass bottles using:

25ml, 50ml & 100ml plastic graduated cylinders
(pours easier from plastic <-hydrophobic repels liquids)

3ml, 6ml, 12ml & 20ml Monoject Luer Lock syringes

I pour into the cylinders from 1 liter bottles of PG & VG.
Very easy to get within .25-.50% accuracy with practice.

I use saline for inhalation to thin my Max VG (considerably less TH than H2O)

I use a Brother PTouch PT-2730 labeler for my stored nic, mixing bottles & finished juice
I wasted too much time with Avery stickers, cellophane tape & Goo Gone
Do yourself a flavor & get a labeler

Simple is ideal. I have other .... to do besides fret over every little detail of my DIY.
As long as it's accurate within a fraction of a percent it's good enough for me.

Agree 100%. As long as you are informed and plan for acquiring everything you need ASAP, you're OK.

FDA is trying to kill "open systems." Anything you hand fill is a target.

Nicotine is #1 right now.

Really appreciate all the time you put into making this info available to us.

Sorry @Mowgli My bad.... must have misunderstood from the following post.

Believe me, I appreciate everyone proofreading these documents. It's a mixture of direct quotes and what I think. They were my notes, and any corrections are appreciated. We will correct my notes and this document as we go along.

Where are you in stocking up? Have you made your own plan? Are you making progress? The next 180 days are going to be crucial!!!

"Open System Vaping" is what we do. We use tanks/rda/rdta/ etc. The FDA is trying to kill that entire market and force us in to big tobacco's arms(BT). BT specialises in closed systems. Some of the biggest voices in vaping are saying...closed systems are the future.

With closed systems, you WILL PAY 4x more for everything, maybe more. You choices for flavors will be crushed. They plan on forcing us back to 100% tobacco flavored juice.

Start at the top of this forum thread and see what you can do to prep for this catastrophe! You can do it and be set for the nest 10, 15, 20 years!

Where am I on stocking up?

I wrote the doc, and I'm going to fight all the way until everything is pulled from the market.

I'm on a very limited budget like some of you out there in vapeland. Nonetheless, I'd consider my collection pretty solid. I'll be buying for the next 6 months or so and spending $300 to $600 per month (every dime that I can muster) to get what I think I should have before the market collapses, which it will for open systems, unless Deeming is radically changed.

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE I'LL ORDER THE FOLLOWING
* Mech Mods
- 1 - Hex Ohm VV (Digikey sells the exact same DC/DC converter used in the Hexohm mods.)
- 2 - BC Boxes (18650 serial/parallel switch box)
* Cylindrical Mods
- ProVari Provape - ECF @LoriP1702 "SEE 2.5 mini, with extension cap. AND, you can get the extension ring, and run 18650's. ProVari 3 Extension Ring (using the extension cap and the extension ring) or, 18350 in mini mode. I also really like the V2.5, with extension cap, that allows you to run 18650's as well. Both mods can be found in the "specials" section for AWESOME pricing."
- GUS Mod or clone
- HCigar Nemisis Clone or clone
- Wismec Vicino (Can fire a coil down to 0.15 ohms. Suggested 0.2 ohms. Has board that cuts off when voltage gets too low.)
- Limitless or clone
* One more gallon of Nude Nicotine Armor

Nude Armor Nicotine Base - EXTENDED SHELF LIFE
Solvent: 100% VG
Aliquot Size: x4 125mL Glass Bottles
Strength: 100mg/mL
QTY: 8 (32 - 125ml bottles)

* Graduated cylinder b/c I'm .... and want to measure my own pg/vg/nic for when I use my scale
* Many more flavors, after I pick out 10 fav recipes. Get going on DIY ASAP. See what flavors you really like and order accordingly to last 2 years at least, 15 to 30 flavors. Keep an eye on the market, and your use, and continue to restock as you go. Look over the e-liquid recipie docs that I have, pick the top 5 recipies out, order the goods, and get cracking.
* 8 more - RX200S
- Varitube(x3+ No. of mods you have)/Fatdaddy(x2+ No. of mods you have) - 510 connectors for all mods that you have (Sigelei / Wismec / Scotts Mods)
* 8 more - Twisted Messes RDA Squared
* 8 more - Replacement Parts for TMSquared RDA (TM²)
* 8 more - Replacement Screws for TMSquared RDA (TM²)
* 8 more - Twisted Messes RDA Squared BASES
* 2+ more - Kayfun 5
* 50 - premade coils (staple, staggered stapled, fused and alien claptons, etc.) unless you plan to start making them today
* Liters each of PG(4+), VG(8+) all from NUDE NICOTINE. WHY? B/c all lof your NIC is 100VG except for the NIC, from NN, so the calculations will be easier and more accurate. They are probably using the same VG/PG for their base.
* Bottles for mixing. See the bottles/glassware section and order all that you need for DIY. Liter bottles for freezing PG/VG. 30ml/60ml for completed DIY. 500ml for mixing up batches
* Label maker
* Wire: More wire. Variable speed, reversible drill for making twisted and clapton wire. 20 spool tamers.

I'll probably order some more nic just because you can never be too rich, too good looking, or have too much nic. A couple more mods and tanks at my leisure. Some more flavorings, and premixed juice as long as it's still available and affordable. No sense hitting up the nic supply before it's necessary. Sort of like using up your fresh food before relying on the freeze dried stocks and MRE's at the back of your shelter.

As I've said before, PG, VG, wire, batteries, and cotton/rayon will always be available. No sense putting money into that when there may still be threatened products around that you could invest in instead. But everyone should do whatever they're most comfortable with for their own situation.

Yep, hear you regarding the pg/vg stocking up that I plan on doing.
* Trying to lock in price. I see for some reason that the cubes (in other thread) are going up in price. Just trying to avoid incremental or creeping prices over all goods for the next three years. :yawn:
* Trying to find out how long pg/vg last in my cold, dark, freezer when bottled(as opposed to leaving in plastic). One ECF member said to keep the pg/vg in the freezer based on fact that nic is 90% pg/vg, and it attracts air/water if stored in plastic. :thumb:
* Figured that if I could cut the FDA out of my life for 3yrs, I might be a happier man. :D I don't know. Can I actually get myself set up to NOT worry abt what the FDA is contemplating next? We shall see!

I broke my first gals of pg/vg down to boston rounds but based on what I am reading I won't be doing it with the rest, I will just leave the cube boxed up in the basement and work on those I broke down and perhaps consider breaking down another gal of each when the first gal of each I broke down is used up. I want to be able to use my 5cu ft freezer for some food in addition to the 3+ L of nic I have, and leave some room for more nic in case I decide to grab some more from other vendors.

Just wanted to say this is a wonderful thread.
I am nowhere near fully prepared but this thread is an excellent motivator. :thumbs:

Thank you!

I'm always looking at what people are buying, and changing what I'll buy after seeing reviews of products. It's all about keeping an open mind so that we are like sponges with information given to us.

I don't have the brain power this morning to read everything. What's the "end date" for getting nic?

There is no defined "end date" as of yet that anyone knows of from the FDA for the sale of any goods, however, each and every state in the US can halt sales of any specific items at any time. They can also tax them to whatever desire they have. This is because the FDA has labeled every component, and liquid, a tobacco product.

We are now at the whim of legislators in every federal agency, state, county, and city.

We are also waiting to see if the US Postal service rewrites their own regulations, I believe it was called PACT, that would halt the shipment via US Mail of all tobacco products.

We do not think that the sale of 100mg/ml nicotine will go on indefinitely. We also think that 100% of all open systems used in vaping today will cease to exist. This includes tanks/rda/rta/rdta.

Sounds complicated. 3 500ml of 100mg should hold me over for 12+ years. I don't foresee pg or vg being an issue. Might have to visit Fasttech for bits n' peices too. Thank you.

I agree 100%. The purchase of nicotine is the most important thing that you can do right now.

100mg/ml nicotine is the strongest recommended nicotine for DIY folks in their homes. 100mg/ml is a 10% solution of nicotine and most order it in VG base. I believe that the main posts in this thread have a safety video and some recommendations to follow when handling it.

To prevent the uptake of 100mg/ml nicotine on skin, wear two layers of (thin) lab gloves and eye protection. Recommendation is to work with lower nicotine values until you get use to handling it, and do not handle or store around children or pets. Use near a sink is recommended.

I've kind of skimmed through your thoughts and notes because being an old timer and watching this oncoming FDA garbage for a long time, I'm pretty well stocked up for about anything and knew the weak points in my stocks and how to fix them. However, I ran across your mention of the wine preserver and took note. If I hadn't seen that, I would have not realized that you could buy Argon in a size not nearly as cumbersome nor as expensive as what I have casually glanced at. So, I have one coming in and can treat all my nic bottles and pop them back in the freezer. Thanks!

Yes!!!

Note that these notes are a collection from almost one year of reading ECF and the FDA Deeming threads. This covers thousands of pages of ECF. I did not include every nugget, I tried to include things that made sense, were repeated, and that I found to be at least accurate.

If anyone wants to post information that I may have left out regarding the following, because I lacked the background to check on please do!

Things this document lacks are:
* Vape related products for "tootlepuffers." Low wattage devices for those getting started or MTL(Mouth To Lung).
* Mech mods with the appropriate warnings on their use
* Cylindrical mods
* Pod Mods
... and the list goes on and on.
