Detached/reattached the base. And I'd say the head is about a week old? Sadly I don't have any extra heads. Is this about the end of the life of the coil?

Longevity of a coil depends on many things. The juice used, volts used on it, frequency of use, etc. Cleaning as I described in my previous post can extend the life.

Tried reattaching the base on this other tank, seems to have fixed it actually. Just have to hope this thing lasts at least until pay day. Thanks guys! While I'm here, what's a good reliable tank I could pick up when I snag my Provari? Something that'll look good with it, and won't be finnicky/not work. Just something I can buy coils for (not quite ready to rebuild yet).

I doubt it if it's only a week old. My buddy's pro tank heads last him at least a month, the one he has in now has been going for 2. I rebuild my pro tank heads and never end up letting them go more than 2 or 3 days before I feel I could improve them in some way.

What pg/vg concentration is in your juice? Also I believe that the pro tank has an extra wick that does nothing but bad things for most people. If you're vaping a high vg blend, try removing the "flavor wick" (that's what they call it, it's the one ontop of the coil, not through it) to allow some more room for wicking.

Here is the one I use, I'm in love with them, user friendly and glass so you don't have to worry about those tank crackers.

Everything involved decides the length of time a Head will last - Not how long one last for someone else.

Some only last days. Some, well maintained last months.

Only you will know what is right for your next Tank. I would suggest going to YouTube and checking out Reviews of the Nautilus by Aspire.

Whatever you choose, if it takes replacement coil heads, you need to stock up and use them properly.

A head used daily for a week will be nasty at best. Rinse it and dry burn it. But also get yourself a spare head or two, as well as some 30 gauge Kanthal and some decent cotton balls. Then learn to rebuild those heads with a micro-coil and cotton. Yes, I was skeptical too. I got a proper RBA first because I thought it would be easier to learn on. But I'll let you in on a secret. Assuming it has proper airflow, a Protank with a properly rebuilt head works very, every well. You also don't need to do that very often because when they get even a bit nasty, you just rinse 'em, pull out the old cotton, dry-burn the coil, and put in some new cotton.
