QUOTE...Today the government posted their proposed regulations on vape shops and vape usage for public comment, which you can find here http://www.ontariocanada.com/registry/view.do… and clicking on the APPENDIX link on the page.
Under these new regulations vape shops will be able to continue to sell their products to the public IF they meet the following criteria:
1. Must be approved by the local Public Health Unit and meet their review standards
2. Shops must restrict entry to those under the age of 19.
3. Shops cannot be a throughway.
4. Products and promotional material must not be visible from outside the store.
Additionally, retailers operating under the proposed display exemption will be permitted to activate an e-cigarette for the purposes of testing a vapour product or demonstrating to a customer how to operate a vapour product, provided that no vapour is inhaled or exhaled from the product.
At this time, the government is not proposing to prohibit any flavoured vapour products for sale at this time but may prohibit flavoured vapour products in the near future.
I strongly encourage you to leave feedback on this proposed regulation via email here http://www.ontariocanada.com/registry/mail.do…
The communities efforts so far have led to some favourable exemptions to the legislation, but our work has to continue through the regulatory process if we are to obtain fair and reasonable regulations on vapes.
Make sure your voice is heard and share this information with your friends, family, customers or local shop.....QUOTE.
