Pre-newbie greetings from Winterpeg, Manitscoldout (aka Winnipeg, Manitoba)! I have been reading on this forum for a couple of weeks now.. and reading and reading and reading some more.. And after the initial "HOLY CRAP, this vaping biz is waaaay more complicated than I expected", and despite the sheer stupidity of smoking for 33 years, I like to think I'm a smart girl so I am now waiting patiently for my gear to arrive :

ProVari v2.5 Standard
(w/charger, extension cap & blue LED - I had to order the AW 18650 batteries from a vendor in Canada because ProVape can't ship them internationally)

19mm XL cartotank from IBTanked
Boge SR cartos & pre-punched cartos

How'd I do for picking a starter kit? I figured to heck with starting out with a Honda, I'm goin' for the Ferrari ;) Really though, I think I'll have a better chance of getting off the cigs quicker and easier if I start off with a great system, right? Plus, I ordered the identical system for my 75-year old mom, wanting the easiest, most reliable thing I could get. Now it's just the quest for juice, and I hope I find an ADV quickly! But damn, after I placed all my orders I read about "vaping in the cold" and I probably should have gotten some *non-metal* drip tips because bloody hell it's been -30 to -50C here (either with or without the windchill) since November (and ~4 feet of snow so far) ..ie complaining about winter weather to a Winnipegger falls on deaf ears, ha.

This site has been invaluable for research and I wanted to post a big thanks to all of you who take the time to share your knowledge :)

Looks like you won't be getting another PV for a Looong time Lol. Unless you want to of course, by the looks of it most people don't want anything after they get the Provari!
True, from what I've read! BUT I was thinking I should probably invest in a small backup unit lest gawd forbid something should happen to it and I start eyeing up anything I can roll and burn ;)

Hi Winterpegger,
as mentioned above, sounds like you have one of the best starter kits around !
I don't have any experience with IBTanked carto-tanks, I went with Protanks with my Provari
and have been very happy since Aug/2013. I got an MVP2 for backup and that's a great mod
with outstanding battery life.
Congrats on quitting, good luck with finding juices that you like, sometimes that's the most difficult
thing. One of the well respected posters on this forum, 'baditude' uses the same set-up as you if I remember
correctly, he has a wealth of info on batteries, tanks, cartomisers, etc on his blogs, well worth a read.
Put his name into the search box top right of the page and click on the blue 'blogs' number under his name.
Happy vaping.
