There once was a company called Lucky 7 Vapes. Kendall , PennyLynn, Macaroni are a few names I remember. We thought L7 made good juice at a very low price. Threads were started about their juice. Everybody was doin reviews when their orders came in. Postin what they ordered. Talkin about shipping times. Talkin about delays. Much like this thread except for one thing. There were people waitin weeks even months before getting their orders. I've got order number 3073 and they just delivered 3098. What's up with that? .....Well you should get yours soon, but be patient it's only been 2 weeks since you ordered.......I'm just glad their getting orders goin up to 3301 this week........ Mine shipped yesterday Order number 2936 3 weeks YAAAAAYYY...... I'm number 4236 :(............Impatience is not a virtue!......They caught up on orders shippin times got better, then they would get flooded again. Finally they threw in the towel and had to refund money because they couldn't keep up for some reason.

That's why I'm amazed that VW keeps up with their orders so well. If you placed an order with L7 and got it within 10 days you would kiss the ground the mailman walked on. :)

Just got back from workin 7 days a week since March and what do I find? Lucky 7 in trouble again! Too bad they shut down. I never got my free RY4 sample of the "new" stuff. Also the Blueberry menthol ruined several coils. Initially in March the menthol in it was OVERPOWERING but now it is plain unvapable. Super strong and super bitter menthol. I have some full bottles of other stuff that have steeped for 3 months now. I look forward to tryin them (I think). Are there any new vendors with equal value and quality out there

ah.... lucky 7 vapes! My first adv came from there. Caribbean Breeze. I only got to order one 120 ml before they went under. I am crossing my fingers that lucky 7 vapes fate doesn't happen here. I love Vape Wild juices!

Having spent many hours further educating myself on diacetyl, acetyl propionate and acetoin,
I wanted to check back with VW.
Here is the result:

Customer
In regards to you flavors, do any/which use/have diacetyl, acetyl propionate or acetoin?

Lina
None do!

Customer
Well, it is virtually impossible to get custard type flavors without at least 1 of these additives.
And you have many custard type flavors

Lina
On Cloud Custard and Circus Bear.
It is not impossible.
We do not use any of those chemicals in our juice. Not in any of it whatsoever.
Not one single flavor.

Customer
Hmm, I have not seen a single flavor manufacturer on the planet that can offer custard type flavors without at least using acetoin
What flavor providers do you use?

Lina
We aren't allowed to disclose that kind of information.

Lina has closed the chat.

WV = FAIL on disclosure
I've found Lina not to be the "go to person". She has referred me to others before for in depth answers. You can request to speak to someone else with more knowledge of the flavorings. My investigations so far have resulted in the same answer, to get custard you have to have one of those ingredients. I think VW is as safe as any at this point:2c:. and the end result for any eliquid from any manufacturer is vape at your own risk.:2c: I'm tired of investigating because I know I'm not gonna get the answer I'm lookin for from anybody. :)

A new mix I'm enjoying - for coffee people:

Top of the Morning plus a spritz of Cinnamon Roll.
I have some TOTM coming and I saved a little OCC and Vanilla Clouds just for it. I might try the Cinammon Roll in it too. :) I like to add a little flavor to the Reds and Turkish too, even though tobaccos aren't my favorite anymore, I can't get away from them.

The concern for me is avoiding all three of these chemicals.
To do so, one should avoid 'custard notes'
MANY other flavors, some being MOST flavors, by many providers contain at least 2 of these = avoiding custard is not enough.

So to get an answer of such certainty from VW that none do means to me they are either dangerously clueless or flat out lying.

This is disturbing to someone like myself who loves most custard flavors.

Who at VW would you suggest speaking with, since it seems you've spoken with them often?

My only motivation to support VW is to keep getting good juice at a good price. To say they are either clueless or liars by the comments of one employee is a disservice to the company ( two cents). I find Lina to be well intentioned but not the most knowledgeable staff member. Why not talk with them personally before passing judgement?

Darryl, it's been a while and I forgot the name. But I did post it a few hundred posts back. SteveWild owns the company. I have had all my questions answered straight up and don't suspect they are trying to hide anything in the least. They have satisfied me that they are on top of all these issues and are as informed as every other vendor and are making the safest juice known at this point. All I can do is suggest you ask them yourself. And visit the threads on the subject of custards. I will look back and see if I can find the guys name for you.

Actually there is.There is another ingredient that is used in place of acetoin,it is called Butyric Acid and is being used in several flavors now to replace the bad stuff.I know of 2 flavor manufacturers currently using this as a substitute,i'm sure there are more using it,but those 2 i know for sure use it.

Haha,i never said it was safe haha, only that there is a substitute for the other custard notes.Being you have done some diy,i'm sure you have seen the flavors that have that in it,the stuff labeled v2,etc. that's most likely what they are using,i know 2 do and i'm sure others do as well. They claim this to be "safer" so they still arent really saying it is safe just better than the other stuff haha.

I support VW also. I feel they're one of the better companies out there. I just hope that this thread doesn't turn into a campaign to bring VW down.Seems like its going that route. Other vendors could get on here in disguise, and start all kinds of problems on purpose against VW. Like I said in a earlier post, if you like VW juices than vape it, if you don't like them, then move on. Thats how I feel, and could care less what other people think.

Hmm, thanks.
I am less informed on Butyric Acid and welcome the information.
from TFA :

" This is a rich vanilla flavor that has no Acetoin, Acetyl Propionyl, or of course, Diacetyl. Instead it uses a lesser known custard note called Butyric Acid. This is the ingredient that other flavor companies are now using to replace Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl for flavors like Vanilla Custard, and we were asked to create similar substitutions. We want to stress that Butyric Acid can also be a source of irritation to the lungs.

It is still a custard note, but usually is only used in traces, as too much of it can give an unpleasant note to a flavor. Butyric Acid is found in milk, butter, and cheeses. In fact, Butyric Acid occurs at about 2.9% in butter. "
