Hmm, thanks.
I am less informed on Butyric Acid and welcome the information.
from TFA :

" This is a rich vanilla flavor that has no Acetoin, Acetyl Propionyl, or of course, Diacetyl. Instead it uses a lesser known custard note called Butyric Acid. This is the ingredient that other flavor companies are now using to replace Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl for flavors like Vanilla Custard, and we were asked to create similar substitutions. We want to stress that Butyric Acid can also be a source of irritation to the lungs.

It is still a custard note, but usually is only used in traces, as too much of it can give an unpleasant note to a flavor. Butyric Acid is found in milk, butter, and cheeses. In fact, Butyric Acid occurs at about 2.9% in butter. "

There is a good chance that VW uses flavorings from The Flavor Apprentice. I taste a similarity it seems. I've used a lot of TFA in my diy but then again I don't really have a "refined" palate. :)

I support VW also. I feel they're one of the better companies out there. I just hope that this thread doesn't turn into a campaign to bring VW down.Seems like its going that route. Other vendors could get on here in disguise, and start all kinds of problems on purpose against VW. Like I said in a earlier post, if you like VW juices than vape it, if you don't like them, then move on. Thats how I feel, and could care less what other people think.

Exactly,i dont buy their juice because someone else likes it,i buy it because i like it,and i will continue to buy from them unless i would personally have some big issue with them, which i dont see happening.

I feel the same way. And these discussions are better done in the other threads (more info there). I believe the top flavor suppliers are working with the latest knowledge to make their products as safe as they can be. This is an ongoing process and I am confident that VW is using the better quality flavorings based on the quality of their product and from what I've researched. VW has to use flavoring suppliers the same as any other juice vendors. They don't make their flavorings. The flavoring manufacturers are the ones who should be targeted for responsibility of harmful ingredients. Do you think VW has done any research into the different flavor suppliers and chosen only the good ones? Or do you think they chose some outfit that makes it in a chicken barn and sells it for pennies on the dollar? Flavoring is cheap no matter where you get it so why not get the best? :)

I am right there with you JuiceJug!

Now that VW is on ECF, I would like them to quench all this malarkey with a statement or some proof to shut the naysayers down permanently.

Personally, I've been trying juice from many different manufacturers the last month: Vapor Pimp, Namberjuice, MBV, Blue Label Elixer, Elix, Top Vapor, NicoTicket, and others. I keep going back to VW though, not only because of the incredivble valus, but also because of the great flavors. Many of the other "top shelf" brands I've tried at 2,3,or 4 times the cost cannot hold a candle to the flavor I get from VW. Many offer only their proprietary blend of PG/VG, and I prefer high VG stuff. VW lets me choose, it's made to order, and one of the best values out there! Long live Vape Wild!!!

That would be awesome!
You know how effective requests by current customers can be.
Just look at the results of the Aspire BVC issue.

This thread is 'Vape Wild. Yay or Nay?'
In hopes of formulating my final opinion to this question, I continue to investigate.
A discussion of the pros and cons is helpul in this regard.

I have posted much of the information I have gathered.
Detailed reviews of the 28+ juices I have purchased.
Many of them, highly favorable.
Some of them highly negative.
My positive opinions on their prices, flavors and customer service.
My negative opinions on their disclosure of the chemical composition and safety of their juices.

Vaping is safer than smoking is not good enough for me.
I wish to minimize the risks even further where I can.

I got a new billow today and built it as soon as I got home from work. Dual coil, .7 ohm. VW Peanut Butter Cup is just freaking awesome in this thing. I liked it last week in the subtank, but this is sooo much better.
PEANUT BUTTER CUP in a Plume Veil .7 dual coil @ 30 watts ..........................NOTHIN BETTER!!!!!!!!!!

There is not a flavor manufacturer on the planet that can provide 'custard notes' without at least using acetoin.

VW = FAIL on disclosure

The concern for me is avoiding all three of these chemicals.
To do so, one should avoid 'custard notes'
MANY other flavors, some being MOST flavors, by many providers contain at least 2 of these = avoiding custard is not enough.

So to get an answer of such certainty from VW that none do means to me they are either dangerously clueless or flat out lying.

/rant

I doubt any answer would be enough to satisfy what you want to hear.

Maybe start a thread for your crusade for definitive answers and information and direct them to that to quench your concerns.

Right now this whole industry is like the Wild West. Vape at your own risk or don't vape at all. No one is regulating this stuff and this is why the FDA will get their paws all over it sooner than later. If you don't like VW's answers stop buying from them.

You can have a good discussion with these folks http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...discussion/646453-diketones-free-vendors.html and there are plenty more threads. On here you can find a few vendors that belong to the AEMSA AEMSA | American E-Liquid Manufacturing Standards Association

But know that the Vendors set the standards and AEMSA does not require them to be diketone free to be members. I think your question is not Vape Wild Yay or Nay but is really Vape Yay or Nay and you don't realize it. BTW Butyric Acid, to my knowledge hasn't been proven to be much safer if any than diacetyl to my knowledge. It has been said that it blocks the absorption of diacetyl. But who knows anything at this point? All I know is that I've got vape mail coming :)

Just to open another can of worms, many, if not most, fruit flavors contain citric acid, which is made commercially by fermenting black mold in a sugar medium. The mold is filtered out and further processing produces citric acid. Fully half of the world's supply comes from China and we all know how particular they are about QC. People with mold allergies/sensitivities could experience issues not just with e-juice but anything containing citric acid.

And reading the list of ingredients on a basic loaf of bread you'll see a LONG list of suspect ingredients. A peanut butter & jelly sandwich may have more concerning ingredients than custard type juices.

Personally, I'm very happy with VW. Great flavors at a great price. They are aware of the issues and I believe they are doing what they can to provide the best product they can.

If you really want to go after someone, go after the USDA for allowing the mass adulteration of the food supply. I'd rather put my time and energy into making a big pot of soup vs. crap in a can. Vaping custard e-juice is a grain of sand in an ocean of processed food.

Vive la Vape Wild.

Ok, hey guys, New here to this thread, I decided to order from VW last Sunday, normally diy(hi bm!), but because my son had surgery, didn't feel I'd have much time to mix, nor did I feel up to it with all going on pre and post ....anyway because of this thread and reddit hype, decided to give VW a try, why not? So I got my order Texas to PA in 4 days, packed in a sturdy box, not a bag, nice hand written welcome note too. Got 2 samples of eliquid in my vg/pg ratio and nic, prefer over a piece of candy personally or game/trading cards, and other companies "overfilled, not really" bottles-these samples at least could increase repeat sales more imho, I honestly love samples and appreciate vendors that do this....got raspberry cheesecake(i had added to wish list 2 days after placed order) and swedish candy(originally cringed with this one, but drop taste test on finger, not too bad actually! Might not be a repurchase for me, but ya' never know) Yeah those hard to squeeze plastic bottles, I am used to these bottles from Seduce Juice, not my favorite, but I can deal with..all flavors smell pretty good and 1 drip finger taste test nice, I can tell they are not using cheapest flavor company in some of these flavors. I got sweet complexity, circus bear, smurf cake, occ, banshee, fruit hoops(think this will be my favorite!), and strawberries and cream. Will age them and give a try soon, which will be true determining factor for me, but for the price and customer service....good purchase so far, possibly better than both some of the other lower priced competitors and even some of the higher ones too. I am impressed with first order, thanks for all shared info here, helped me choose my sample pack flavors(some reason I forgot to order vanilla clouds though!) I think I might have found a nice, very affordable company to recc to others on a budget, and one that can supplement my diy when feel unambitious or lacking time....again final verdict will be when actually vaped, so far, so good though.

Hey,good to hear from ya again,i seen the post about your sons surgery over in the diy thread,he doing better now? That's how i found out about vape wild, was looking for a good priced place to supplement my diy,as for a few months i really didn't have time to make much,my first order was back before Thanksgiving, and i just keep getting more now haha. You made some good choices on the flavors you picked, from the other thread it seems we have similar tastes, and from the ones you got,i can say the ones out of those i have tried have been really good.I just ordered the circus bear so i haven't got that yet,and havent tried banshee,or the swedish candy, but the rest i have tried.Sweet complexity and occ are both very good right out of the box,but they get better after a week or so,as i've mentioned several times over in the diy thread, strawberry is not my friend in juices haha, and while i probably wont order it again,i can say the strawberries and cream is pretty good, now smurf cake, this is probably the best i have tried from them yet.I have had nothing but bad luck with cheesecake type juices from the time i started vaping,so i gave up on trying to find one.I would have never ordered this, but i got it as a sample, and i'm glad i did.I let it sit a bit over a week, and after only going through maybe 3ml out of the 10ml,i had to order a 120ml bottle of this one,it's that good haha.If you like cheesecake and blueberries, then you are going to really like this one,i taste cheesecake, blueberry, and graham cracker so it's got it all,and after this one being so good, now i want to try banshee because i really like banana juices, but i forgot about that one when i did my order the other day,so hopefully it comes as a sample.
