I'm not gonna criticize your choice of who you follow or what they had to do to quit smoking. But I'm not gonna recommend anyone to do the same. If you think you need to ween yourself off of nicotine slowly then you will have to do it slowly. There are many factors to consider but they all stem from your thoughts and nothing will work if you don't believe it will. Most smokers I know that quit after vaping went straight to 12mg nicotine. Two of them went up to 18mg but still refrained from smoking. I don't know anybody that has quit vaping yet, even the few that have gone zero nic. I know of one vape shop in this area that starts most of his customers at 12 nic and getting it done with comparable results of another B&M that start's her customers off at 18. I started my MIL at 6mg and she quit after a week. She had a 60+ year addiction. Don't underestimate yourself. Good luck and I'm happy you quit the cigs.

Now after reading this post I am totally confused as to what your point was before, as now you seem to be more in line with what I was told to do to quit. Especially the part in bold...

I did the 24mg for the first week, to make sure I didn't have any cravings, then I went to 12mg. Now I'm down to a 6 and I've been there and happy for about a month now... and not a single craving for an analog. Seems like the shops in your area suggest a similar approach since you stated "they start most at XXmg", leading one to believe that at some point they step down their nic level and continue to do so until they're at a 0.

SO... where do you, or the local shops you spoke of, differ with what I was told?

Hello friends. I'm getting close to the end of my Citrus Bear bottle and am going to need a new flavor for this RDA. I have a few to choose from while I order a big bottle of CB and let it steep. I have OCC, MCC, RC, DAP, FH, SC and Guava that have all steeped from either 2/3 or 2/11. Opinions? My other RDA's have PBB, SM and FL in my current rotation. I really had no idea how much I would love CB!

I've quit cold turkey too... I can tell you it didn't work for me the 6 or so times I tried. Longest success was 6 months.

My point is that nicotine is highly addictive and I wouldn't suggest anyone with the intent of quitting cigs for good move straight to 0mg. Most successful former smokers who turned to vapes, have told me to gradually cut your nic levels. For me I went from 24 to 12, now thanks to sub ohm tanks Im at a 6. I want to stay a non-smoker for the rest of my life and their "ween yourself off nic slowly" approach makes sense to me. I doubt a pack or more a day smoker for over 20 years would want to cut to a 0mg within the first 2 months of vaping.

Since you brought up that you know people who had no problem dropping to 0mg, I asked how long they were vaping. I think it makes a helluva difference if they were off cigs for 6-12 months before dropping to 0mg vs trying to drop to 0mg quickly. For some it may work, for me I doubt it... even though I have ZERO cig cravings since I started vaping.

E-liquid and vaping for me is much more than a placebo... yes I need (or think I need) the nic. I choose to follow the success stories Ive heard firsthand and slowly ween myself of nicotine as it does make perfect sense to me a 6+ time quitter. Also from my point of view getting 6mg of nic is better than all the other toxins and carcinogens in analogs

Is nicotine really that bad? I hear its no worse than caffeine. I started ecigs with 16 and 18mg and see no reason to lower it... yet.

Well 5pm yesterday Addison, tx scan and nothing else...

Sounds like you heard the "Big Tobacco" version! It is highly addictive. Right up there with ...... and crack!

Relax! LOL! You should be steeping it anyway, I've found that 90%+ of flavors benefit from it.

There was mega ice and cold in TX this week! If you order it will come!

I know it's addictive but is it harmful? I hear it's no worse than caffeine. It will not kill us is what I think.

Mostly positive:

One of the lamest reviews and reviewers I've watched! Just a young girl with a videocam! No info on methodology, was it OOB, steeped, seems like she just vaped each flav for 3-5 pulls.
I had to search through her comments for more info. She vaped everything at .2 ohms and 50 watts. Do you all taste new juice at high wattage, or do you start low and work your way up? She's we tar dead! Not a Gore Gore Brittnee fan!!!

Yeah I get different tastes out of my juices at different watts (doesn't everyone?!?) and the way she described OCC at the end, sounds OOB to me, it was super rich and spicy when I grabbed it out of the mail and started gleefully clicking away. After two weeks, it smoothed out into what it's supposed to be. I'm not sure that's a decent review, either.

Several guys I know that chain sub with RBAs have gone to 0 nic. They can't handle 3mg even :)

How long have they been vaping full time? I'm only 2 months in, since totally quitting cigs and vaping 100% of the time. SO I NEED SOME NIC STILL!
I swear this is the last time I quit cigs and I am committed to it now! Vaping is making it easy!

Without goin in to a long rehash, I never disagreed with you except to imply different strokes for different folks. And the power of suggestion is a power. There is more to tobacco addiction than just a physical dependency. You say you quit CT for 6 months once. That's long enough for nicotine or any other substance in your body to be long gone. (More of a mental dependency at that point) Now you have quit 2 months ago and vaping nicotine. I think that's much healthier and if you want to reduce your nic at your own speed, good. But remember that when subbin, you are doin more of a volume and cuttin your nic in half from the tank levels doesn't mean you are cutting your total intake of nic in half. It can be the same or much more. Plus we may find in the future that vapin flavors is more harmful than the nicotine. Def less harmful than cigarettes though :2c: Congrats on quittin the cigs
