I haven't seen a dedicated thread for this device so I thought I would start one!

This can be a waiting room for those who purchased until receiving your device and discussion after the postman is kind enough to give you it!

Description:
VTBox200 is powered by an authentic DNA 200 chip by EVOLV. DNA 200 is a power regulated DC-DC converter with digital switch-mode for personal vaporizers. It features Evolv's patented wattage control, temperature Protection, preheat, OLED screen, and waterproof onboard buttons. The DNA 200 runs from 3 cell lithium polymer battery, and features cell-by-cell battery monitoring and integrated 1A balance charger. The DNA 200 board is the most advanced personal vaporizer.

Main Features:
Authentic DNA 200 chip by EVOLV
Updatable software
Escribe software suite
8 Programmable profiles to set up
Upload CSV files to use any temp sensing wire you choose
Temperature limit: 200°F-600°F /100°C-300°C
Output wattage from 1-200W
Output voltage from 0.5-9.0V
Resistance (power mode): 0.1Ω-2.0Ω
Temperature sensing wire (cold): 0.08Ω-1.0Ω
Screen can rotate to left and right
Material: T6 senior aviation aluminium, spray paint appearance and corrosion logo
Magnetic back door cover to replace battery
Replaceable lithium battery: 1800 mah 11.1 V-35c-60.5A-3s (eqivilent to 5400 mah), with tinned copper wire plated copper wire and 14 mm wire size, conductor resistance 15.6 ohm/km, supporting max 55.6 A

Modes:
Locked Mode: Pressing the fire button five times with less than 0.7 seconds it will cause the device enter lock mode. In locked mode, the device will not fire and the output power will not adjust accidentally. While in locked mode, the screen will be off, except that pressing a button will show “Locked, Click 5 X”. To Exit locked mode, press the fire button 5 times.

Stealth Mode: While locked, holding the fire and down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds, it will switch to stealth mode. In this mode the display is off, it will still show error and lock messages. To switch back to normal display mode, hold down the fire and down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This setting is stored to internal flash memory, and remains if power is removed.

Power Lock: Holding down both the up and down buttons for 2 seconds, it will place the device in Power Locked mode. In this mode, the mod operate normally, but you are not able to change the power setting. This mode prevents accidental power level from being changed due to the buttons being pressed while in a pocket. To Exit power locked mode, hold the up and down buttons for 2 seconds.

Resistance Lock: The DNA 200 relies on the cold resistance of the atomizer to measure temperature accurately. If the connection is not stable or if you find the measured resistance drifts with time, it may be desirable to lock atomizer resistance. To do so, while locked hold both the fire and up buttons for 2 seconds to enter resistance lock mode. In this mode, the DNA 200 will use the present atomizer cold resistance without refinement until the atomizer is disconnected or the resistance lock is disabled. A lock symbol will replace the ohm symbol on the display. To disable resistance lock, repeat the procedure to lock it.

Max Temperature Adjust: From lock mode, holding down both the up and down buttons for 2 seconds, it will place the device in Max Temperature Adjust mode. Once this mode is entered, the max temperature will be displayed. The up and down buttons are used adjust the max temperature. To save the new temperature setting and exit, press the fire button.

Profiles:
The DNA 200 allows you to save and select between eight groups of output settings. Each group of output settings is called a Profile. To switch between profiles, put the DNA 200 into Power Locked mode by pressing and holding both the up and down buttons for two seconds. From power locked mode, to cycle between profiles, double click the Up or Down button. To select the displayed profile, press the fire button. Each profile contains an output power setting and a maximum temperature setting. These can be adjusted on the device, and will be saved when a different profile is selected. Additionally, the resistance lock setting and value for each atomizer is saved in the profile, which can alleviate temperature inaccuracies stemming from attaching atomizers before they have completely cooled. Many more output settings, including the coil material and preheat settings can be adjusted on a per-profile basis using the Escribe PC software. Evolv recommends setting up one profile for each atomizer that you regularly use with the DNA 200. It is much faster to switch profiles than it is to set up the settings for the atomizer again.

Escribe:
Escribe is a software package used to configure, monitor and modify the operation of your DNA 200. It installs on a Windows PC and connects to your DNA 200 using the USB port. Escribe has a separate manual and tutorials which can be found on Evolv’s site.

It is possible to run Escribe in a virtual machine, I own a Chromebook which now doesn't have ChromeOS on it anymore, I run Ubuntu 15.04 and using virtualbox 5 I can run windows 7 in a virtual machine and have the USB drivers set up etc. I can't test it works until my device arrives how ever I can tell you the program loads and updates fine. If anyone wants advice I can do my best and add something in the 2nd post or something.

Questions and discussions are welcome, if anyone makes custom screens for the vtbox200 or photos of your device in the wild they can be shared here also!

First questions to kick things off

1 how do you make the images show up in the thread preview (the menu before entering this thread)?

2 I'd like to know more about the specific battery used in this mod so I can add that info to the 1st post?

I've got one on pre-order. I am looking forward to getting it. I know for a fact I will be repainting that thing. Too many huge letters and branding all over it.

Looks like it will be slightly larger than my other box mods... but if the battery is any good, it should make up for the bigger size. Looks to me, like you'll be able to change to battery to something else if its just utter crap.

I'm planning on using some vinyl to cover mine and I agree about too many large letters all over it! I'm pretty sure I read the battery is removable / replaceable although I forget exactly where now. I decided I would get this one because it is the cheapest way to get a dna 200 board, I was looking at doing diy but by the time you add the cost of tools this worked out much cheaper!

anyone know what battery pack they are using?
There's a discussion about that on the FT site and no one has been able to find a matching cell. Some think it's a custom LiPo pack and others think they're overstating the battery specs and showed similar sized LiPo packs from Lion Power that were well below the 1800 mAh stat they are quoting in the specs.

I think its to cheap to be a custom lipo but who knows

Looks cool especially if the stats on the LiPo are legit.

I'm all out of bingo money but for those who may want to order this you can get it on pre-order for $114 at FastTech with the coupon code PRICECONTROL

$159.00 Original VapeCige VTBox200 1800mAh TC VW Variable Wattage APV Mod - 1-200W / 200-600'F / aviation aluminum / white at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
It's $160 most places but you can get it for $114 at FT.
Maybe I missed it, what's the price ?...looks very similar to this one running a YiHi chipset, wonder where they got the idea.

I think they make/made a SX version as well. I think the long slimmer display of the current DNA 200 will give the VT200 a slightly less chunky body... maybe not by a lot.. but it helps.

No one can find the battery specs, but someone eluded to the fact that they may be using a lipo that has inflated stats... as we know that happens quite often with some of the "off brands"

there was also an offer fast tech were doing where if you paid full price they would give you a $45 coupon to spend o what ever you want in their store. Pretty good deal and doesnt break the price fixing rules vapecige are trying to impose on us

I saw this yesterday, your right they have cloned the body! They have taken something expencive and American, made it Chinesse, added some cheapness and added lots logos so you cant think the design is copied! This Mustang looks classy fair play to them! I will be getting creative with mine when it arrives, I can only hope it comes out as nice as the mustangs

Please post here and let me know if you find out exactly which one is used so I can add it to the 1st post. I will be extreeamly disappointed if the battery stats are BS because if they turn out to be 1300mah cells they are exagerating by quite a bit and removing 1500mah which is more than a whole cell in its self! It also wouldnt suprise if they trying to hide it because they know they are lying about the battery and its wrapped in that carbon stuff which says to me they are hiding something. I will be pleaseantly suprised if it infact turns out to be 1800 mah cells

I'm actually a little surprised they cloned the mustang, I could be wrong about Mustang sales and they could be doing well enough to warrant cloning...something I personally don't agree with... but don't see many in use.

I'm sure all that giant lettering all over it will be a deal breaker, time will tell I guess.

Iv never seen one in the wild, cant say id even heard of it until yesterday. Its a nice shape, i like the design and shape of the case, the large firing button and the screws. It looks quite utilitarian and rugged

To the best of my knowledge, Mustang is South Korean: Mustang M1 - The Friday Morning

your right it is korean, i just guessed it was american as its called mustang which is about the most american word going lol
