Yup I think you might be right. Here's mine after 5 chainvapes and the top of the cable which looks pretty similar to yours. Only other thing I can think of is high VG juice!!

Your cable ends look fine, in the first picture it looks like your wells aren't completely full of cotton though, you need that extra cotton to perform like a holding reservoir for juice.

Tbh I've tried all ways but I'll try that again thanks. I'm beginning to think that it maybe me asking too much from an MTL device. If I crack it I'll come back....tail between legs

Just a thought Charlie maybe give a different type of cotton a try.
Definitely nothing against the Mavaton that you're using, just a bit of thought and something quick to try:)
I've always used Vapefly Firebolt cotton, I'm pretty sure they include some with the spare parts in the Brunhilde box:thumb:

Edit: Also you mentioned that you're high VG juice could possibly be an issue.
Just for reference I vape with 70VG\30PG juice, I always have in my Brunhilde's.

It's defo not the cotton. Mavaton is one of the most absorbent cotton's you can get. I have zero problems in any other atty but I'll give the firebolt a try in the interest of science :pervy:. I have several other types of cotton too. I'm going to give it one more try.
It's not that it doesn't wick. It just won't keep up when I want it to..... appreciate the help you've all given
