I am so entirely bummed. Well actually it started out as excitement. See, I was expecting vapemail this past Thursday. I was so happy to see the “delivered” text on my phone, knowing I would have my new tanks, coils and a few new juices to sample. As soon as I could I went down (trotted more like) to my mail boxes to get my package. My mood changed when all I saw in my mail box was boring mail. I checked again. Surely there must be a key (to the bigger boxes for larger deliveries) or a note explaining missing package. I looked at phone to read text again in case I misunderstood but no I had it right. I didn’t panic right away. I live in an apartment/condo complex so I went to the office here just to make sure. Sometimes the unit numbers are not clear so it was worth a try. Nothing there!! I am not gonna go into all the steps I took but I called post master, went to post office on Thursday and my patience was requested for them to locate package for Friday delivery. Friday I spoke with mail carrier when still no package, went to post office and they had post master call. She left a message saying the USPS was not responsible for this uninsured package. I was not happy since this was my entire vape budget for the month ($70.00) . I went to post office again and asked to speak with her directly. She tried to switch the blame to the vendor with whom I ordered from saying it is common for these companies to say they shipped everything but only ship partial, so I explained that I got nothing at all from company, not even a letter and something was scanned as delivered. She told me all kinds of things about the legality of mailing things like this and tried to tell me it was probably confiscated and what not but still had no explanation for scanned item. She was not going to budge over the fact that there was nothing she could do to help me. I was dumbfounded and very sad. This was probably the largest order I had made since I wanted to try a few juices but was also ordering two tanks and coils. I decided to email customer service at Virgin Vapors where I had made the order from to see if they may be willing to help out this new customer. Well, what would have been a new customer. I worded my email carefully because I did not want them to think I thought this error originated in their camp although that is what the postal office wants me to think. I got a reply that they were not responsible and I should have had it mail fed-ex or insured mail. Ummm ya in retrospect. I just really didn’t think that was necessary for something under $100. I guess I was just hoping they would want to satisfy this new customer. What I am left with is nothing but a lesson learned. I am out $70!! Will never shop Virgin Vapors again, not because this was their fault but they had the opportunity to win me over and they chose not to help a new customer. I really don’t have too many options with USPS because it is very hard to prove non delivery on an uninsured unsigned for package.

Lesson learned to pass on- DO NOT use USPS unless you want to chance this too.

Wow. Even though the package was scanned as delivered they still couldn't help you? Do you have the same mailman/woman every day? Maybe ask him/her if they actually delivered it, and where they put the package.

My mail carrier is fairly new according to the post master. I did speak with her (the carrier) directly and she plainly admittd to flyng through her route that day. Even tried to make me feel sorry for her because it would reflect bad on her. She had no recollection of any package. They (USPS) says they did all they can and package was placed in my box. It just makes me so mad because I have no way to prove this.

Well I would dispute the payment with the bank to recoup your money back since you did not receive the package. It does not matter at this point and if they complain then VV will have to prove that the package went out. I've had to do this and while it took almost 30days to get credited back by my bank I did get refunded the full amount of the purchase. Do you have the receipt from the online purchase with VV? That's all you need to file a claim. It would also help to mark the transaction line on your statement so you have the transaction # for the purchase.

just my :2c:

This was not VV's doing. I have all the tracking info that shows where package went. It is my mail carrier that did something with it. Scanned it then... I don't know??? ate it maybe.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to expect a vendor to lose money in re-shipping an order at no charge that the usps lost or mis-delivered. They have to earn a living too and may not be as financially comfortable as one might think. Many people who have never owned a business fail to grasp that.

I do grasp how difficult it is to be a small business owner and in no way think they are rolling in money or felt this was VV doing or responsibility, however it doesn't change how I feel. I was asking for understanding and possibly help from the company I ordered from and was met with a "We hold No blame" answer. You know, I am a very reasonable person. If they had only said how can we help, would a sample of one of the juices you paid for and never got help? Anything. I would have had a different view of the company. I was not looking for a freebie but this is how they made me feel. I had just spent $67 (before shipping) on their stuff that I was very much looking forward to sampling. I am not stupid I know just how huge the mark up on this stuff is. A few samples would not have set them back. So please don't imply that I fail to grasp the small business struggle.

I don't know if you've done this but, it might be good to ask your neighbors if they received your package. I've had issues with UPS before where they delivered my packages to my neighbors. I actually ended up on the phone with UPS's fraud people one time before realizing that they delivered to my neighbors.

Ya, I checked all ends out. Trust me. I am on a pretty strict budget so $70 means a bit to me. To not get this package is a bit of a deal for me. I have been to the post office several times, my office here several times. I put a sign up on mail boxes. Knocked on neighbors doors. Nothing!! I have a neighbor that actually recommended VV and they have never had a problem. I spoke with them as well. I think my mail carrier either has it in her truck (scanned then set it down and forgot it) or knows just what was in that package and it is in her car. "shock" But I have no proof.

TY all for your awww sorrys. I understand that this is really my own fault for not having it sent by a trusted source that has insurance (fed ex, ups, or insured USPS), but I didn't think this was necessary so wanted to share my story so it doesn't happen to another poor sap that still trust the United States Mail.

I have had the same thing happen to me from VV. It was a very small order, and not my vaping budget. I'm very sorry for your loss. While it may not be VV's responsibility once it is in the hands of the post office, any vendor who does not understand the value of making sure the customer is very satisfied and feels comfortable handing over ten, twenty, a hundred dollars or more is going to have big trouble eventually. I did get them to reship my order, but it wasn't easy, and I was told it was an 'exception' to their rule and they would not do it in the future if something got lost by USPS (mine never said delivered, so that was a big help on my end). HOWEVER... that said, I would never buy from that company again. Why? They told me point blank they do not hold themselves responsible for shipments, and most of my orders are for far more than this one was when I buy stuff. No way do I feel comfortable spending money that may never yield a product. Customer SATISFACTION is gold in ANY sales situation.

That said, I hope you can get some resolution from your cc company. The problem I see is the 'delivered' status on the post office tracking. I hope that doesn't make it harder for you.
