Hi, new here and to the whole vamping scene.

I just purchased a vapeonly BBC and a eGo-v V2 1200mah. I have an slb vivi nova that vapes like a champ. I do get a little burnt taste when chain vaping even at 3volts with a 2.2 head in it. No burnt taste at all with my my7s automatic battery that is a 3.5volt battery. However with the new vapeonly BCC I get a burnt taste no matter what head or what volt I'm at.

What I have done so far is, loosen up the base a little, removed wicks one at a time, added wicks, rewicked the 2.2 head, rewicked the 2.2 again with #400 SS mesh. I have also tried priming the heads. I also was able to get it to slightly gurgle without leaking. None of the things I have tried has worked. I don't want to give up but have I missed anything or is there anything else I should be trying? Oh, and I did call the place that it was purchases from and they said they haven't had any complaints. To let them know what I do to fix it. Lol. Which ...... me off a little, which makes me feel like fixing it by tapping it to a brick and tossing through their window. They were so eager to sell but not very eager to help. Any way, I need some help from you guys on figuring this out. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance

I also noticed this with mine...i checked the coil and nothing is burnt or even brown...changed the coil anyway and got the same thing...

so I took the whole thing apart and rinsed it all with warm/hot water... rinsed the coil real good and dried it all and put it back together and it was better...not gone but better... it may take it a bit to break in.

ALWAYS buy the genuine VISION brand Vivi Nova- using 1.8 ohms @ 4-4.2 volts and no burnt taste or dry hits. Using them for 6+ months.
Not having any real issue with vivi just once. I'm talking about the VapeOnly. Thanks

I did try this and will try again. I guess i will keep vaping for a while and see if it gets better. Thanks

I have a VapeOnly BCC as well...it works 20 times better when you take some tweezers to pull the top wick out. It gurgles every now and then but overall it works great.

As stated above. Been there done that. That is actually how it is set up at the moment. It vapes a ton just the taste is burnt. Thanks

Tapping it won't stick it to the brick...

Did you dry hit initially?
Is the wick material just old?
Is the coil touching the sides creating a hot spot?
No didn't dry hit as far as I know. I let it set for about 10 mins after filling.
Don't think it's old since it is brand new plus what I rewicked one with was new too.
I checked if there was a hot spot and the coil appears to be firing fine, coil not touching.

Ok it looks to be fixed now. Time will tell though. What I did was soak the head in vodka for about 10 mins then I moved the coils closer together to make the coil slightly loser. Then did a dry burn to make sure there was no hot spots. Then I primed the wick with three drops. Plalaced only two of the top wicks back. Filled the tank. Then when I put the base back on to the tank I watched the oring on the post. When it made contact with the tank post I tightened it only an 1/8th of a turn. Let it set for 5 mins. It now hits good with no burnt taste.

Thanks for the help guys

Update, used for the better part of the day and ended up having to mess with it more. It appears to me that it has some vacuum issues. Overall most hits are dry unless you let it sit for a minimum of 10 mins. and the taste is just not there. Not sure if its just my unit but despite the reviews that are out there on it, I give this one a Thumbs Down!!! ( my opinion )

I will still tinker with it over the next few days though and see if it will be beatin into submission.

This is a very common complaint with the BCC, and the reason I rarely use mine.

You can sometimes make it go away by fiddling with the wick, as mentioned earlier, but my experience is that it's just not something easy to fix. I'll probably never use the ones that haven't come out of their boxes yet.

Had the same issue with my vobcc, and the reason was how tight the coil was wrapped around the wick. You may be able to gently caress it loose enough to not burn, and wick correctly, but I just got out some kanthal a-1, and 2mm wick, and re-wrapped. Havent had a single issue since, and it vapes every bit as good as my nova's.

Interesting....I bought new a brand new one yesterday. Vaped on it yesterday with no prob. But today...2 dry hits. I am so disappointed. I'll try tinkering as you did since I think the flavor is superior to my Kanger mT3. Never tinkered with a clearo before so keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for your post.
