Anyone who has found any public locations (restaurants, bars, stores, etc.) that allow vaping openly, let us know.

Like I said in another post, I vape pretty much anywhere I want, but do it discretely. In fact, it came in very handy during Avatar last night (3 hours with out a cig never would have happened before). Now I have become a master of stealth vaping, but I would like to not have to hide it sometimes.

I would love to hear of some places that actually know you are vaping and don't have a problem with it.

I know this is going to sound funny, but I did have it in my hand and took a vape while I was walking into Blockbuster and the front entry way at WalMart. Everyone looked at me funny but then smiled when they saw me grab the LED end. I was surprised no one asked me about it. I believe maybe they thought it was an inhaler or something. I haven't went out to one of the bars in my area yet. Craming for school finals for the past month, so when I finally finish I'll get out there and really test it out. When I am stopped at traffic lights next to smokers they stare a hole through me trying to figure out what kind of cig comes in silver.

I don't have a specific vape friendly establishment list..as I don't get out to resturants and bars much anymore that I have 2 young kids..
I did find a list online by a bunch of antis of places that willingly violate the smoking bans (I know they were ding it as a name and shame but when I was still smoking analogs I used it more as a places to go list) ..I know it aint the same but I'm willing to bet that they'd be vape friendly too...

I was at a restaurant pub this summer at Polaris Mall in Columbus. No smoking even outside...RIDICULOUS. I asked the waiter who was a smoker if I could use the e cig. He had never heard of it, but went inside to ask. When he came back, he was all excited because a customer at the bar was puffing on his 510. The waiter immediately wanted to know how to get one.

Sherid, was this The Pub? That's the only pub style place at the mall I could think of... there's also Claddagh nearby....

I believe it was The Pub....on a corner. I do not live in Columbus although I actually work out of Columbus. My friend and I took the daughters for a shopping trip before they headed back to college in August.

I haven't vaped in Columbus yet, as I just started vaping a couple weeks ago, and haven't been back down to work yet(I telecommute to Cols from Cleve). But, up here in NE Ohio my hub and I have been out a few times with no problems in - BW3, J Alexanders, Signiture of Solon, Longhorne Steak House, in the indoor tennis club. I've actually sat in the waiting room of the Dr.'s office and did a stealth vape!
I haven't had a negative experience. And I'm loving my vaping!

I have been analoge free for almost 14 days now. I can't believe it.

I had to post this here. I just went back to Orlando for a quick trip and flew Southwest and they let you vape on the plane. I did find that both the Columbus airport and Orlando airport let you vape. I was so stoked and I could not believe it. The only public places that have not let me vape when I asked was Panera and the movie theaters in Pickerington.

ronab, BW3 in Hilliard was adamant that I was NOT allowed to vape in their restaurant. Just a heads up on that.

Prog, sounds like you live on the West Side, ain't it the best side? HAHA

Yeah, the bars listed there are arena district(I work near there) and I was surprised to find they all were ok with it. On the west side, no one cares about the vaping.. I've been asked about it a few times purely out of interest, referred them here, told them to skip the njoy/blu and wrote down a few 510 suppliers for them. I've been on the west side for 2 1/2 years and I'm a fan for the most part.

Just wanted to share an experience my hub and I had last night at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Warrensville Heights, OH. We were waiting for our server to greet us, so we whipped out our e-cigs as we have done in many restaurants throughout Cols and Cleve., when the manager of the restaurant came over and told us in a rather nasty way that their company policy is to not permit e-cigarettes in their establishment. End of story, put away your e-cigs now. We couldn't believe this was true, so this morning my husband called Olive Garden HQ. We found that they have established a policy for ALL restaurants nationwide that they will not permit the use of e-cigs in their establishment. Personally, I have eliminiated them from my list of potential restaurants I will visit. This is the FIRST restaurant(and trust me we eat out alot as I don't cook real well)we have had this experience with.
