I can see your point, but it hasn't stopped me contributing to American and Australian funds, I don't give much just a few dollars. I just see this as a worldwide thing. The same journal papers are quoted everywhere regardless of which country they are written in and the anti-vaping campaign is worldwide with Glantz and his buddies getting interviewed in newspapers all over the bloody place. Besides I have yet to see any Americans nuts enough to try and get elected to the House of Representatives LOL

My observations from my world travels are people are fundamentally the same pretty much everywhere its Government and religion that keeps us separate. Its a basic human right IMO to free them selves from such a nasty addiction that Tobacco can be so Im all for doing a little to help anyone no matter what their GPS might be.

While its a good cause. Its for UK so it does no good for US residents :(

It should be noted that vaping is a world wide solution and that ECF is a international forum.
And, if I`m not wrong, ECF was started by and is hosted by UK members.

It should also be noted that vapors in the UK have their backs up against the wall much worst then vapors in the US.

This is the point I was trying to make, that's all, I gave a little but I would prefer we (us) supported our candidates a bit more BEFORE we end up where UK is currently at., some of the anti vaping laws are years old already. While every effort is needed I would like it that we don't wait till after laws are passed to try and do something about it like they did.

for a donation as little as £10; you could also get your face added onto a brilliant lampoon of Parliament

Buttons, pins and making fun of the govt. Isn't exactly what I have in mind when trying to elect provaping officials.

I'm sure silly cartoons .aking fun of them will make parliament more receptive to our ideals come bargaining time

Napoleon once said that the English caricaturist James Gillray “did more than all the armies in Europe to bring me down.” Here’s an example: “Manic ravings, or Little Boney in a Strong Fit” (1803).

A well done cartoon at the right place and time can do alot of good or damage depending on what side your on. Im not saying this is the case here but dont underestimate the the power and effect this sort of thing can carry.

Hey, if we're sane 'nuff to vape instead of smokin', why in da solar system would an American vaper ever run fer HoR? It cost a lot less to 'donate' an atty or two vs. a vapepaign ( or is dat 'vapepain'?)

I'll try to $upport any effort to expose da truth! But, run fer an pol office... fergitaboutit (too much 'history')!!!

The UK system is a little different but that is basically what we are doing. We have two candidates standing in the election for the equivalent of the HoR. The party was established because the law on freedom of speech in the UK is different and by existing the party protects the right of vapers to meet and talk about vaping, should the worst come to the worst.

However once we had the party it seemed a bit daft not to use it, the anti's get all the airtime and getting the press to cover the beneficial side of vaping is an uphill struggle. During the campaign the press HAVE to cover all the candidates. If they mention one candidate standing in the same area they HAVE to mention us, and it isn't that expensive. The deposit is $745 (£500) per candidate and gives us free postage to 70,000 household and free rent on a public meeting room. The $4470 (£3000) we are looking to raise will cover that and printing costs and the heat and light for public meetings.

So we get lots of publicity guaranteed, a leaflet through the letterbox of 140,000 houses, 2 public meetings with press attendance and every other candidate is going to be aware of our existence. Sounds like a good deal to me :)

My apologies. Been off work for 2 months due to an 11 month old W.C. injury. getting worse rather than better. For some stupid reason W.C. is footing the medical bills but not supplementing my income.
Right now I'm pretty well tapped out.

Better days ahead..........................................one can always Hope.
