Ya know what would be Nice?

And that is if vape Shops/Advocacy Groups in EVERY State coordinated a Rally in there City on the Same Day as this Rally in DC.

Think of CNC broadcasting Live ...

In Atlanta
New York City
Detroit, Chicago
Dallas, Texas
Oh, see you in Cleveland
Don't forget about L.A. man
I'll Be There!

... of a Thousand people standin' out in the street. Singin' songs and carryin' their signs. They're mostly sayin', "hooray for our side".

I might not be Able to get to DC. But I could Probably be able to get to My State Capitol. And could Definitely jump in the Car and drive Downtown to City Hall.

I think this DC Rally could be used as a Focal Point for a National "Save e-Cigarettes Day" in every Major City.

A member earlier said that She would be Able to get to DC. But I bet should would be Happy to stand on the Steps of Her City Hall with a sign that said...

"I Quit Smoking with an e-Cigarette."

    or

"Health is More Important than Profits."

    or

"e-Cigarettes are Harm Reduction. Why is that Bad?"

This reminds me of trucking industry back in the late 90s I sure there is some older truckers on here that can relate. The Federal Department of Transportation commonly known as the D.O.T wanted to change the hours of service and limit the amount of hours a diver can work in a 24 hr period.I'm not going to go into detail about the hrs and changes as it will too long and complicated.Lets just say that when the changes were being proposed the hugh uproar and calls all over the C B radios that we need to organize and drive our trucks to Washington and make a stand.Well not everybody did there was few I think at one time there was 100+ showed up if anyone knows anything about the beltway traffic is congested put over 100 18 wheelers in the mix you got chaos.Did tying up traffic for hrs gain public sympathy for our plight?..No I it did nothing but anger people made them late for work or late for whatever else they were into at the time.Drivers were shunned because of it. Our livelihood and our ability to earn a living was at stake.I'm not saying a march or protest is a bad idea my fear is all it will do is anger people and the impact will be negative .Couldn't get enough drivers together to make a difference and I won't get enough vapers to show up to make any difference. The trucking industry is 10 times larger than the vaping industry.

If they did that, I know pretty much everyone that goes to my local B&M, would carpool it down to Austin. We're a close nit bunch. Dallas would be even better. No travel expenses needed.

I think we need to do anything that might make a difference to this mess, but actually unless it is well controlled, it could look negative, if have a ton of cloud chasers blowing clouds all over, and then you just need 1 person not having their setup safe and have a mech blow up, then it will just add fuel to the fire.

Hope I am wrong, but saying it could do more harm than good, depending on the people who can go.

    Absolutely

And what would be Wrong with BOTH Austin and Dallas? I just used those Cities because they are the Cities that Sammy Hager listed at the end of 'Rock n' Roll Weekend'. (The part about the 1,000 people in the street is from Buffalo Springfield's 'For what its Worth).

I think Many California Vaper's would Rally in San Diego, O.C., LA, Fresno, San Fran and Sacramento. Cal Vaper's are pretty Feed Up with the way things have been going Lately.

I want your cheerleader uniform back - washed and pressed :glare:

I know for Fact, not everyone was angered or unsympathetic. As a wage earning Parent I was 100% sympathetic to the Truckers cause and was hoping they would bring DC to a stand still.

No I'm saying it did not help the drivers the changes were made regardless

No Changes could be made Regardless here also. But I Know there is No Chance of Changes being made if we Do Nothing.

I'll take Possibility of Change over No Change 100 Times out of 100.

Vaping is big here in Dallas. Well over 600 shops, and those are only the ones documented. If word got around, we might get a decent turnout. And there are a lot of surrounding cities, here as well. And for those who say it won't work, maybe not, but how is it working for us now?

I agree we need a march. I'm close enough to DC to get there, but I rather agree with the other proposed idea. A march or sit in at every state capital and major city. That would raise some eyebrows. Think about it. Baltimore, Annapolis, Norfolk, Richmond, Alexandria, Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and that's just what I could think of from three states!

Especially if the news showed up, it'd be nice to have signs. "I vape, I vote" is overplayed. "You're condemning me to cancer from cigarettes" has a nice ring. "480,000 people die each year from cigarettes, don't make me a statistic" does too.

Seems like in Today's age of Social Media, getting the word out Should be that hard. And you are Absolutely Right when you say... "how is it working for us now?"

    Suggestion only

Would consider reining in Local actions.

Is it better to have a few people at the local offices of governing bodies - Mayor/Council - or to Present in the Thousands at the steps of State Capitols?

Major Strikes Trump minor inconveniences. :D
