MY VT PACKAGE ARRIVED TODAY!!!!

Mine too
It's a good thing you do such a terrific job of packaging, because the delightful postal people did everything except run over it with the truck (and I'm still wondering about that)
Corner's all crushed in ..but the tape held and everything inside was fine.
Thanks for the good service K

In case anyone is interested. We now have a new "mixing machine" this bad boy will do roughly 18 litres at a time.

We have been cutting it down 5 litres at a time. ( I know we are the little train that could) lol.

But we like to do small batches and it allows us to keep better control over all parameters. The small metal piece on top is the pressure relief valve, it can be adjusted to 3 psi. The other unit of course is the mixing unit itself. The small blue cover is where we will have a dual valve. One to gas it up with argon before filling, and a second hose to fill with the nic and base. The gas/delivery port will be separately valves to shut one off and turn on the other. So before adding base we gas, after filling, more gas.

Anyway we are pretty proud of our little tank and we feel this will be the best way to do bigger batches to keep up with our demand...

Ah. I've finally stumbled into this little corner of ECF. Finally decided to get my azz off and start to learn how to DIY. Been hearing that this is the best nic out there, so I guess I'm at least off to a good start :D

Currently overseas for my deployment/tour, but will be back in aug. I'll be ordering then :) till then, I shall remain a DIY virgin.

ETA: sorry if this is a stupid question, but does the nic come in glass bottles? I've ridiculous hoarder tendencies and I guess my first order will be straight 1L, so I guess a glass bottle would be handy. Additionally if it IS glass bottle, can I order say a 1L, but have it packaged in say 120ml bottles?

Apologies if these are dumb questions or just plain unreasonable. This DIY business reminds me of when I first started vaping. Too much stuff going on for this meathead

It comes in a lab grade plastic bottle. I like it that way for shipping as sudden shocks can break glass and given the conditions my packages arrive in sometimes, all the packaging cushion in the world wouldn't be of any help if the package contained glass.

While I know the reasoning behind storing in glass, I actually vacuum pack the plastic bottle and then stick it in the freezer. Until there us quantifiable data that long term storage in the freezer is definably better in glass, I plan on using good quality PE bottles. (All we have now are suspicions that it is better that are based on liquids and storage methods that are different.)

I've lived much more dangerously than plastic bottles for storage in a freezer in the past and I expect I'll continue such feats of daring into the future.

Ah gotcha.

I guess the other reason why I'm asking is really because I'm trying to drop from 12mg to 6mg, and well, 1L of 100mg is gonna last a long time. Because of that I'm intending to split them up into either 100 or 60ml bottles so that I don't keep opening up the same bottle every time I try out a new recipe and exposing it to the air I guess.

I have a 120ml bottle that I transfer my cold nicotine to. (allow for expansion when you do this!)

I use that bottle at the mixing table and it stays at room temp. (I also allow it to come up to room temp before use.)

I've had the VT Nic for a few weeks and the 120ml bottle has taken on a slight pink hue. Most other nic's go tan to brown in the same situation. (Most as in I know of only 1 other Nic that colors like VT's.)

I give away quite a bit of juice, so I mix more than most, so you might want to have a smaller bottle at room temp for your mixing. If you mix by volume, then having all the components the same temp is important.

Kiwi. I do not ship in glass, my apologies. But here is a good example of why. I mailed 4 litres of nic back to myself in pet bottles from a trade show and one of the bottles had been crushed so hard, it had blown the bottom out of it.

I gotcha. I had completely forgotten about the rough handling during shipping part. I'll pick up some glass bottles no biggie.

Looking forward to coming back home and dropping an order! I sure hope all the hype I've been hearing is true!
