So I'm beginning to suspect I have vapers tongue, me and my friends (2 other vapers) all puff on my own DIY ejuice (I'm so kind, right? :)) It's a really nice flavour, but on all 3 (Mine and my 2 friends) vapes, I couldn't taste my beautiful creation much :( The past week or so it has been absolutely wonderful vape, but the thing that's confusing is that I've possibly only vaped about 60ml-70mls of the juice, is that enough to cause vapers tongue?

I have had juice that lost it's flavor for me but usually after a longer period than you have experienced. Every juice is different and it could be that there is something in the recipe that your taste buds can't tolerate over a certain amount of exposure to that substance. I don't have a definitive answer but try vaping something different and then going back to it and see how that works. Best of luck.

I have a bunch of blueberry flavoured juice I have from not long ago, I'll try vaping on them for a bit, is a week long enough for my taste buds to recover?

I think it would be more trial and error until you see how long it lasts. Maybe vape on a tank of something else for a while, a day or so, then grab the tank with the offending juice and try it. If you still can't taste it, do it again and keep doing it until you can taste it. Document every time you try it, how long it has been etc and that will let you know how long it takes your tongue to recover. If this happens with other juices then look for something each of them has in common i.e. sweeteners or other additives. That would let you know what is causing the effect.

I suffer it intermittently... the longest I think mine has ever lasted was a couple days. It just kinda comes and goes, and really the only way to deal with it is to vape something different, maybe a couple of different other flavors. It has to do with "neuron fatigue" -- like olfactory fatigue; you can't really smell what your own home smells like, until you leave it for quite a few hours and then return. And I think it also has a lot to do with ex-smokers' tastebud recuperation; when I've suffered vaper's tongue, pretty much everything tasted either odd, or bad. But *usually* by the next day, it's better, though a couple times it went on for 2 days, stuff just tasting weird.

I suspect that it's just different for everybody. I can't even last a full day with ANY flavor before my buds get worn out. I essentially never vape a tank of the same flavor two times in a row. I can't even alternate between two. 3 -5 different flavored in rotation is how I have to do it.

I'm jealous of people that can vape the same juice for 6 months. Things would be a lot simpler for me. But the rotation keeps things fun and I always have a reason to look for new juice.

I do this exactly. I rotate 5-6 tanks. Not sure I've ever vaped the same juice all day.

For a nOOb, as quickly as you can get at least 2 tanks, starter kits have 2 setups for just this reason. Keep one filled with a pretty strong Menthol (Halo is the High Priests of Menthol). The Menthol will help clear out flavors and help with The Tongue. Try to get to 4 tanks ASAP, that gives you 1 for a menthol and 3 to rotate around through out the day. I usually have 3 GS Airs and 2 Turbo Evods filled all the time. I rarely get The Tongue and it doesn't usually last long for me. Halo menthol slays it.

You can get Kanger Evod tanks for $2 each, with one vent hole drilled and and rewicked with Rayon, they put out an incredible amount of vapor for cheap. The Evod coils are super easy to rebuild Better than they come from the factory.

Variety is the spice of Vape.

Once a week I go through what I call the morgue. It's where I vaped a little of a bottle decided it wasn't for me and put it aside for a rainy day. I'm just coming off vapers fatigue as I call it. (Has absolutely nothing to do with your tongue, you "taste" the juice with your olfactory senses in your nasal passages) try vaping menthol for a day then slowly introduce your diy mix with he menthol and eventually by the end of the week (maybe sooner) you'll be back to tasting your delicious diy.

I also heard that a cinnamon based juice can help do the same as well. Basically rebooting the taste ability.

Yep. It depends on the juice for me, I get vapors tongue quicker with rich strong flavors pretty quickly, a few tanks. Some of my more muted all day vapes it takes months. Then I swap, and when I go back weeks or months later, its good again. :)
