Vapers vs Smokers. Would anyone care to guess a percentage?

I'd find it interesting to see a government statistic that compares vapers vs smokers. While I doubt there's any real statistics on this feel free to post your guess.

My guess would be less than 1% vapers.

Are you considering all vapers? Or just vapers that used to be smokers? Because I feel like that number would vary drastically, lol.

However, I think (hope) that it's more than that. Cigarette sales have started to drop noticeably, for the first time in quite a while.

As a WAG I'd guess it might be as high as 3%?

Of course, the fiscally important measure is how far OTC FDA-approved smoking-cessation products have moved.

World wide I would guess two or three percent are vapors

In the states I would guess ten percent are vapors

Pure guess on my part. I think between 5 and 10% are vapers.

This is tough. I'm guessing around 1% just on the basis of what I see in the wild. I rarely run into vapers and always see smokers. I'm sure this can vary depending on where you're from but where I am its 1% or less

I've seen lots of smokers at casino's I visit. Very few vapers. I'm sticking with my original less than 1%.

I suspect that might have something to do with the usual e-cigs are dangerous newspaper articles and TV news reports.

I'm gonna say it's pretty low. Just of the people I know, including me, and my public observations, it's 5% or less.

1% or less in the US.Most people I know who vape also smoke. Worldwide- a rounding error. How many vapers in China and India vs. smokers?...

The thing is, we're going by the fact that we talk to tons of people on this board or may even know many people in the real world that vape. I only know a couple in the real world and I've known many hundreds of people. For those that do know a decent amount, it's really a very small percentage. Less than 0.1%. You're gravitating towards each other, or you've influenced each other. That's the best way to be!!! Influence those around you! (At least the smokers, don't try to get a non-smoker to vape )

One thing I've noticed is that a large percentage of the military (that I work with at least) have switched from smoking to vaping. I would even venture to say it's almost a 50/50 ratio now. That is at least, within my work areas.

I'm sure the figure is still very low. Maybe even still a single figure as a percentage, but in my small north east Scottish town, I am amazed at the amount of people I've seen going around with an Ego setup. Especially pensioner age which is amazing. I often see the same group of women with the ecigs hidden in their palms, taking a sly vape. The local tobacconist which is still very busy took in a selection and they've just taken off. Great to see in my opinion! Very positive.
