The last 10 years I have been the odd-ball smoker; demonized by the fact that I continued to smoke while all of those around me (not family) quit.
The hubby has cut down from 2 packs a day to 1 pack a day due to vaping. Although I won't admit it, I love the smell when he lights one up.
I can't demonize who I used to be 2 short months ago. I still feel a kinship to smokers. I have to be mindful that I not become a zealot in regards to vaping either. Having both an active smoker and a chewer in the house, I sometimes think "How have they not quit completely?" when it was so easy for me and my mom (both I NEVER thought would quit smoking!).
I have to step back and be grateful for the miracle that has occurred.
