Hello all,

I'd really like to post this in the ADV section, but the forum is telling me I still haven't met my post quota (I believe I have).

I'm using the VapeSafe2 on my AW IMR 18650 battery in my LAVATUBE 2.5. When I have it attached, my LAVATUBE gives me a "03" error message, blinks and then shuts off. I've tried recharging the battery and reapplying the VapeSafe2, but I'm still getting an error.

Against my better judgement, I've continued using the LAVATUBE without the safety fuse and it's working brilliantly. No noticeable extra heat or anything sounding/feeling out of the ordinary. There's definitely no short occurring in the unit itself or in the battery, from what I can tell.

Anybody have any tips here? I'd really like to continue to use the safety fuse but it just isn't cooperating with my mod.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply stylezuk! Am I to understand that a safety fuse won't work at all for non-mech mods?
Seems to depend upon the regulated mod. The makers of the Vape Safe say it can be used in regulated mods for additional safety security, but its really overkill IMHO. The best application for a Vape Safe fuse is in a mechanical mod, which has absolutely no safety features.

BTW, you were putting it on the negative end of the battery, correct?

Thanks for the reply Baditude. Yes, I had it on the negative end of the battery and once it stopped working I tried the positive end and then tried flipping the fuse over on each end just to double check.

I do feel safer now that I'm gathering more information about this, but I'm still wondering what's causing it to give my unit trouble.

there has been several posts regarding this type of issue, SVD, Vamo's have a problem when they are used with protectors. The protector cuts off the voltage since the circuit in the mod pulls a fair amount of current/voltage to boost the volts above the current battery voltage level, thus causing the protector to engage...

Basically same issue you can get with using protected batteries.

PS like your signature, but what about the molecules jk
