Those of us who were smokers know that there's nothing more satisfying after eating than smoking a cigarette. Unfortunately, I don't get the same pleasure from vaping. Instead, after I eat, vaping seems extraordinarily harsh. The tastes of the food still in my mouth seems to interact strangely with the vape, and usually it's not pleasant. Has anyone else experienced this?

I agree with you though I have found some juices perform much better for the after dinner vape, just can't remember off the top of my head which ones........

I eat a lot of spicy foods so that certainly impacts the after meal vaping experience.

Now that I think about it, some foods interact better than others. If I'm eating dessert, then a sweet dessert vape usually goes hand in hand. But spicy foods don't seem to go with anything.

Coffee, on the other hand, seems to go with _everything_.

Hrmmm....if I was going to go all chef on this...when I cook a spicy dinner I normally also make a sweet coconut rice pudding for dessert, or lime sorbet...I have not heard too many good things about coconut e-juices though..might be worth a try.

After 45 years of post meal cigs, I have NO issues with 'just' a vape. Maybe I'm all too grateful for being off tobacco. But I'm totally satisfied vaping.

To be fair, my experience with going cold turkey for ten weeks 17 years ago probably has much to do with my PV acceptance today. I was a b*tch with balls with an extra 27 pounds feeding my misery. I did not want to go through, or put my family, friends and acquaintances through my withdrawal hell again.

So, as of today (actually, almost two months), I do not miss any of the 'missing satisfactions' of smoking cigs.

TBH, I don't even regret the money $pent. It's the damage I've done to myself and the ones I care for that had to put up with my addiction that's my motivation and satisfaction.

Vaping may not save my life, but it'll probably save someones else's...

For me smoking was more about the throat and lung hit. For the most part cigs tasted like nothing. After a meal it was more about the smoking ritual and getting the lung hit after. With that said for me getting the right equipment vs getting the right taste was more important. Don't get me wrong vaping has to have a flavor as well, but it does not need to be a strong taste. I never vape anything sweet, fruity,or food like, just tobacco flavors which don't taste anything at all like a cig but have a very nice mild not to sweet of a taste.

Also for me going with a high nic juice was very important. Vaping does not seem to deliver the same amount of nic as analogs do so don't be afraid to go higher strength, you can always tone it down later.

After 3 weeks, vaping has become BETTER than smoking, thats right BETTER. I have smoked 2 analogs in that 3 weeks(both in the first week) and now I have no desire, because vaping is satisfying. Once you hit that point you never have to worry about going back ever again.

In the past my weaknesses was always when I was drinking alcohol, coffee and after meals. These things always made me go back to smoking after a few weeks every single time. Now it is a non issue for me.

I am done with analogs for good, not matter what I do during the day.

Good luck and I hope you find what works for you.
