Sometimes, after I eat certain foods, when I pick up my PV with the very same juice and settings I was using happily before I ate, either the juice tastes horrible for a couple of drags or the vape kind of stings my mouth for a couple of drags. I've learned to always take a drink or two of water before vaping after eating. That seems to help.

Does this happen to anyone else? I'm trying to keep track of which foods are the worst culprits. I had seafood pasta with garlic for dinner tonight and wowza--my mouth definitely did not like that combined with my vape.

I remember the same thing happening occasionally with analogs--first drags being harsh after eating certain foods.

I agree, what you eat and drink can definitely affect the flavor and mouth feel of your e-cig, but it's not always a negative thing. Sip a cup of chai spice tea while vaping atomic cinnacide.... to die for yummy.

I've also found that I need to wait about 15 mins after brushing my teeth or using mouthwash before I vape- it tends to kind of sting my tongue otherwise.

Yeah, it's definitely not always negative. Vaping any flavor with vanilla/caramel mix while drinking my coffee is lovely. I haven't found any flavor that tastes good with the vanilla coke I drink, so I just stopped drinking it. If you had told me a month ago that I would give up soda completely, I would have said you were nuts, but I don't really miss it. I just drink either water or decaf coffee most of the day and I'm fine with it. Losing weight, saving money, and better for my teeth.

I never thought that I would enjoy vaping after a meal. A cigarette always gave me that Aaah! feeling after eating.

Once I gave up those last few coffee and after dinner cigarettes, I don't even think about a cigarette after a meal. Vaping satisfies and I enjoy it. There are some things that give me that after brushing effect, but it's just one of those things that happens.

Yea, I will experience those same sensations sometimes as you with a weird taste or heavy burn. The heavy burn is worse after a spicy food as someone mentioned already. Now that we have this cleared up I am going to start the "Vaping After Sex" thread. Lol. Although, I'm sure if I dig deep enoough on here I will find it is already a thread. Lol.

I can answer that one for you--the spicier the sex, the more satisfying the after sex vape. By the way, love Uranus.

All over the place
This is an excerpt from something I wrote earlier in a Gen E-liquid thread....

..... for instance, when pairing wines with food, the wine interacts with what your palate and tongue has just experienced; so, the same wine can taste horrible with dinner, but great with dessert. I think it may be due to whatever else you've eaten or drank throughout the day that makes your juices taste better or worse. Some juices taste better after waking, some are my night vapes. Some juices taste good after hearty meals, and others are not so pleasant. I tend to think a brief palate cleansing with some tepid water does the trick to getting most juices to present themselves as a singular entity, rather than competing or interacting with what has coated the inside of my mouth. :2c:

Essentially, if you want to have a vape that goes well at any time, I would look into getting a light tobacco juice or something that manages to be aggreable with most things, or at least be careful of juices that are unable to play well with others. ;)
