The Innokin Kroma R kit with Zlide tank or Aspire Nautilus GT kit with the Nautilus GT tank would be a better fit for MTL vaping, they have a wide choice of coils. But I'd say that you're best finding out whose coils are more easily available to you.

But the tanks can also be bought seperately and used with any mod with a standard 510 connector.

For example if you occasionally fumble a mod you may be interested in the Geekvape Aeigis SOLO, a small single battery 18650 mod that's ruggedised and is shock and water resistant. The Zlide or Nautilus GT can be used with it.

You were detoxing off stuff in tobacco known as the minor alkaloids MAOI A and B compounds. Your best bet (if you can find it) is WTA (Whole tobacco alkaloids) which Aroma makes they are like more expensive than gold but worth it.

A cheaper alternative is some Swedish snus, it's called American General Snus, confusingly in the US but you can get it at most gas stations. It ALSO has a (I suspect a great many more) of the minor alkaloids in it, you could save it for those times when you are hyperventilating or whatever.

Nicotine is ONE thing we are addicted to in cigarettes, ONLY one, an I must say WTA saved my BACON when I quit this time. Snus is a ton cheaper and all I can say is I found the flavor "white" the least offensive but like it still doesn't taste GOOD but if you have severe anxiety/depression you likely will "learn to like it" in this pellet loving rat kind of way.

Also, give you a BREAK you are like, stopping one of the HARDEST things known to MAN. Anxiety is normal and you don't HAVE to go all black and white, all or nothing. If I had tried to stop my 3 ppd habit all at once I would have spontaneously combusted.

If you are vaping DL, maybe you need MTL and vice versa. The zenith tank is a good place to start lots of options for coils and airflow.

Hang in there, it gets better.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Try direct lung on that device. I used to say I'd never do direct lung vaping, but I
am mostly restricted direct lung vaper now (for many years).

Also, increase your wattage a watt at a time to see if you can reach a sweeter spot.

Lastly, you say you can't do sub-ohm, but as far as I can tell the only pods available for the RPM80 are sub-ohm resistances. Are you building your own coil on the RBA pod or something?

firstly, what works for me might not work for you

second, what was the timing on "recently"? mostly just in terms of before or after pandemic crisis and grocery hoarding etc?

but, there will be lots of options and opinions provided. Anna's suggestions also worked for me (snus and WTA eliquid) but might not for everyone

nicotine is a stimulant. Some other stuff we get or got from smoking is more on the relaxing side

i forget the dr's name, and just something that i read several years ago. But (dr's name) paradox says that lower nic is stimulating, but higher reverses and calms. So you could try higher (don't go out and order 6 months worth on a maybe, but you could try it)

Hello and welcome, darkrose.

I agree with what's been said so far. Three key points:
  • Since you need to do MTL, a different device might work better for you.
  • Cigarettes have more than nicotine in them, so you're still dealing with the loss of other substances. How they affect us is very individual. Some people don't notice them at all and switch easily, others struggle. It can easily take more than three weeks for your body to start adjusting to the fact you're not smoking anymore and realize it needs to start making more neurotransmitters and other such things. If the medication is helping, it should ease the adjustment period when you try again. If it doesn't help enough, it's worth looking into the WTAs or Snus Anna mentioned above.
  • If you were chain vaping with 25 mg/ml nic salt, you might need to increase your nicotine. To put it in perspective, the Juul uses double that (50 mg/ml or 5%). That's pretty high, but somewhere in between might suit you.
Good luck!

I'm vaping a lot to stay away from cigarettes, too, @darkrose -- pretty close to "chain vaping" as you said. What's working for me is 1 - a "cig-a-like" pen. Mine is the migvapor MIG 21. There are other, similar products, too. It's sort of like having a cigarette in an old-timey holder so you can go through the same kind of motions as smoking. And 2 - Not giving up tobacco cigarettes completely. I set myself a limit of 5/day at most (I was smoking 10 -20 typically). It's been over a month, I haven't had more than 5 in a day, most days only 2 - 4, and eight days so far, none at all. As others have said, there's more to smoking tobacco than only nicotine. And for all it's negatives, it's very pleasurable in it's unique way. Giving it up entirely and substituting vaping certainly works immediately for some people but it's not for everyone. Baby steps can be the better way sometimes. This is what's working for me. Maybe it'll be good for you. Just a friendly suggestion for you to consider.

Sub ohm vaping is what got me to change to vaping, also a good local liquid manufacturer (Cirro). Pity they don't do shortfills as I love their What the Fruit liquid, but at approx £5 for 10ml it gets dammed expensive quickly.

But around the 0.5 ohm range with TC (Temperature Coefficient) mode @ 250°C max temprature is my jam, depending on the atomiser/tank used. As may need more or less resistance due to the airflow.

As lower resistance has more mass and higher heat capacity, higher resistance has less mass and lower heat capacity.

So lower runs hotter and takes time to reach temperature, and higher runs cooler and takes less time to reach temperature.

If you don't mind me asking... what meds? If it's Chantix, you might do a search on these forums... lots of discussion about that (and it's not good!)
I've met 3 people who used Chantix. One went back to smoking after a year. One had nightmares and so couldn't sleep. One was depressed nearly to the point of suicidal. Not the way to go.

I know only 1 person that tried it. She said that real soon after she started taking it, she didn't feel like smoking anymore. She stopped taking it after a few weeks. I don't know why and I didn't ask her why. I do know that she's smoking Pall Mall's again.. I have enough problems in my head and life, and when that drug first came out and I saw the list of possible side effects, it scared the crap outta me..

I was a very heavy smoker for over 30yrs till I quit in January. I bought a SMOK Trinty alpha and had the 0.8 mtl coil and 20mg nic salt in but...I couldnt smoke it like a ciggy!. So I tried dtl and thats what worked for me I havent smoked since the end of January.

Nic salt is deffo the way to go and IMO dtl is, Ive tried to get my wife off the ciggys but she is intent on mtl and has since given up trying...The RPM80 is a great device (I now own an RPM 40 RPM80 and since today a Fetch Pro) Im suffering from shineyitus a tad but I vape alot but not as much as i used too I tend to stick to 1 device and if Im using nic salt like water I turn the device off for an hour but still vape on it...Yes a placebo effect but it does work for me and like the OP I suffer anxiety...I do hope you stay with vaping and wish you good luck. Feel free to ask questions of me if you like.
