I've been vaping for some 2 years, but not exclusively. Sometimes I would get an analog from someone (e.g. after heavy meal, over drinks, etc) once a week, and sometimes I would go up to 1PAD (previously 2PAD+).
The thing I noticed is: when I smoke less/no analogs, there is almost no chance to catch a cold. Living in continental climate, with relatively cold winter and very strong wind, I came up with a theory... People usually go outside to smoke, just throwing a jacket over their shoulders, which may be a reason. Also, people smoking inside open their windows more often, and are exposed to cold air/draft.
I've been totally analog-free last 2 weeks and weather is getting better. Now, I tend to under-dress in early spring (I see the sun shining and assume it's warm enough for spring jacket), so I am due - but it doesn't happen. This is, of course, contrary to my previous theory, but I'm throwing the options here.
Not sure about your theory about going outside to smoke leading to colds. I go out three times a day to walk my dog and most trimes I throw less than a jacket on unless it's really cold.
mujuru, I'm with you, I'm amazed. I used to hate my standard 2 colds a year that would take months to clear up (do to smoking no doubt). However, I can't believe how quickly they're gone now. I never had much luck with Pharma products so this is a god sent.
OT, I went to the dentist last Wed for a cleaning and by Thursday I had a throbbing, puffy abscess and the dentist is closed Friday. I looked on the net and found a good case for grinding up garlic and pasting it over the abscess. Burned like crazy but I kept it on for 15 minutes or so. An hour later it felt okay. I was going to do it twice more based on what I'd read, but it felt so good I did it only right before bedtime. I only lasted 10 minutes the second time because the burn was worse.
The next morning I felt perfectly normal and all the swelling was gone. I've had no problem since.
