So I know that it's only Wednesday night, but I'm drinking and am new to vaping. In regards to the drinking, I'm a college student. That's it. That's my excuse. Anyway, like I said I'm new to vaping. When I still smoked I would crave a cig almost immediately after I snuffed out the one I had just been smoking. There's some sort of phenomenon that happens when a human drinks. Even most non-smokers I know will smoke a single cigarette or cigar when drinking. It just gives an extra satisfaction and oomph to your drinking experience. That is one thing I do not regret about smoking. The simple pleasure of a cigarette and your choice of alcoholic beverage. Ugh. Trailing off. On my third beer and I have to say, this e-cig is doing me good. Even at 0 nicotine I'm getting that satisfaction of a cigarette while I enjoy my brew. Good stuff. Oh and if your a tobacco juice kind of person, I'm vaping on some Longbottom Leaf as I type from epipemods. That's right. Longbottom Leaf. Like what the peeps on Lord of the Rings smoke. It is definitely hitting the spot. Not too sweet. Very woodsy, malty, and bold. I recommend this to those that enjoy a good vape when that particular thirst hits.

So ended up with 4 beers down and this little 510 is still doing the trick. Can't wait to bring this thing with me when I'm hanging out with my drinking group. For the most part, they all smoke cigarettes as I recently did. Probably gonna be shocked to see me trying to quit, because I was one of the most self-destructive, die-hard smokers out of the group.

Don't rave about it, don't proselytize, don't make a big deal of it. Answer questions honestly but don't offer more information than people ask for. Honestly, a laid back approach is much more likely to influence people to try it than anything else. Half of the people I know who have started vaping never asked me a single question or showed any interest while I was doing it, but most of them have said seeing me use it was a major factor in their decision. Other people I know who refuse to try them say it has to do with somebody making them uncomfortable with their cult like enthusiasm and constant jabbering/hen pecking. Do not be a filthy religious zealot, conversion is voluntary. Kick back, enjoy your vape, and let the natives convert themselves.

For me, e-cigs are no where near as addictive as analogs. I vape 18 mg's. With analogs i had that same chain smoking phenomenon when drinking. Now if I have a few beers, I do not crave the e-cig. I will vape, but no more than if I were not drinking. For me, it is an out of sight out of mind thing. If I am not at my pc desk where I vape, I never think about it.

I love that I can be in the bar and vape and get to have a "haha" to the smokers going outside. There's just something great about enjoying your vape WITH your drink. I hated that so much when I smoked and went to the bar. I couldn't have my damn beer and a smoke with it. Now, not even a concern anymore.

Good idea for a thread! When people have approached me to ask about my PV, one of the most common questions is "Does it work when you're drinking?" Indeed, it does. I prefer a nice caramel RY4 with a hoppy beer. Actually looking forward to quitting time so I can do just that.

And I agree, the best way to proselytize is to not. Just enjoy your vape and answer questions as they come. I've had even non-smokers ask quite a few, and start up a conversation about it.

I am hearing a lot about RY4 juice. Is this a tobacco blend? If not, what flavor is it?

I know the feeling, when having a few beers here in Belgium I used to smoke more and more as the night went along :)
Stella is the best btw !

Anyway drinking & smoking was normal for me. Now I'm vaping alot during the day, but am not vaping more when drinking ... I do vape menthol since all the tobacoo or supposed to be close to an analog flavors I tried don't work for me. The only thing where menthol does not work is with a cognac/brandy and a coffee (read 2 of the alcohol type and 1 of the hot beverage type). But with beer/mojito/havana cola etc, I have no issues at all on vaping. Red wine is another thing, since I prefer the very strong tastes in red wine like Cahors grapes wine, it's ok, but not all that. But still it beats analogs

Some people might ask you some things, some others might look weird ... Just don't bother, if they ask you what & how explain them and continue with the beer ! :)
