From those that post on ECF it would appear that most that stop vaping do so because of getting a first PV that just doesn't work very well and getting frustrated and giving up.

I've got to think that there are many out there that might stumble across and buy a good PV but even with that if they don't find ECF or have a personal friend to give them guidence they're going to likely give up simply because it is more work than smoking an analog (or at least it feels that way in the beginning) and finding satisfying flavors can be hard without suggestions and there's just so much to learn that you're not going to learn without help.

The supoort here is amazing but without that support it would be so much easier for so many to give up and just go back to analogs in those first few months of vaping. And let us not forget the negative news articles and reports that keep popping up that unless one has really done their own personal research on sound soooooo convincing as to why e-cigs are so bad for us.

Funny I should see this post, i quit analogs the first day I got my 510 and was off em for 3 months, not even a puff. Then work got CRAZY busy and stressful, personal life did the the same and poof back on analogs. Here i am several months later and trying to get back on the vapewagon, but it is more difficult this time around, for me at least.I have cut way back and have gotten some new toys (1000MaH ego and mega carto)that seem to be working. My new goal is to once again be analog free by the 1st of the year.Once the mailman brings me my new ego charger i think things will get better(lost my old one after fallin off the wagon)so i hope that helps answer your question maxy.

I've taken breaks from vaping for two reasons.

1.) In the beginning, I got a 901 kit. It worked well in terms of vapor, TH and flavor but it really sucked in terms of battery life, even with spare batts. I couldn't last a whole day of vaping, so to get my fix I needed analogs.

2.) I smoked analogs. I have very different feelings from vaping and smoking. Both can satisfy my addiction urge and I actally prefer vaping for that. But sometimes, notably when I'm stressed, I need a cigarette. Unfortunately, I have very little impule control so when I have cigarettes around, I smoke them. So when I get stressed, my 0 analogs a week jumps to about a pack a day. Then I'll kick myself for spending the money and come back to vaping.

I'm with you Gran!! If it wasn't for the amazing support or info on ECF I would probably be back to the stinkies.. If I'm a bit frustrated with my PV I'll jump on ECF and read some posts and start feeling better and vaping my head off :vapor:
