Hey girls, new to the Women's Room, so I wanted to say hi and ask a question I've been curious about.

I'm 21 and always had moderate acne, despite birth control, ProActiv, Accutane, etc. So I've always wondered if my analogs were the cause of my acne. Has anyone else noticed skin improvement once they switched to vaping?

I never really wanted to quit smoking but the acne has aalways been a problem - been a major attribution to depression and the likes, which makes me smoke, which makes me break out (I think), which makes me depressed, which makes me smoke...o.0

Cycles!

And...Hi ladies! :D

I think my acne is fewer than it used to be....I used to have problems every month (sucks being a girl sometimes) but I would get those three-fers...three pimples in one...now they are less frequent, but I've had one show up since october when I started using my e-cig...way less than multiples each month. So it may make a difference. Unfortunately I still "smoke" a pack a week (compared to two packs a day) so I really shouldn't be a part of the survey...

P.S. I've been on antidepressants for 10 years now...so feel free to PM me..

Glad to hear I am not alone. I have not quit the cigs yet, but cut back from about a pack a day to 5ish, depending on whether or not I'm working or going to school. But I just got the vape on Saturday so it should be interesting.

Think I've been on anti-depressants for 8 years...so thanks for sharing. :)

well, i'd imagine that you're getting much less in the way of toxins, which can only be good. however, i had a dry skin issue (well, i still do, to some extent) which smoking aggravated... now the dry skin is not as much of a problem but i feel like my face is greasier--yet to notice any acne issues (again, aside from the hormonal ones).

When you first start vaping you may get some spots..I am 58 so that was a nasty little side effect! But that passed pretty fast. (a week to 10 days) I also had the greasy skin feeling..again it didn't last long! (Thank goodness!)
The theory's are all over the place about these side effects that some get and some don't.
1) It's your body ridding you of toxins. (this is what I think)
2) It's the effect of P.G. on your system. (some people get these symptoms using V.G.)
3) It's the effect of flavoring in the juice Then getting on your skin, so then why don't we get it when we eat flavored food? I have gotten flavorings on my skin.:p

If you haven't stopped smoking yet..you may never get these symptoms!

My skin looks younger and I love that I don't feel greasy or smell like smoke!

But I really hate to tell you this part..really!
You may get gas..yep..Again your body gets used to vaping after a while..meanwhile, beano is your friend as well as lots of water. P.G. drys you out.

I have used witch hazel as a toner/cleaner for years and I keep a bottle by where I spend all my time. When I was cutting my PG based liquid with straight VG I found that my face got oily more often and I started having a few breakouts here and there. I was having to use the witch hazel 4 or 5 times a day instead of just 2. Now that I cut with a mix of 80/20 PG/VG the breakouts have pretty much stopped and I'm back to my usual twice a day cleaning.

I have hormonal or stress related acne.Things got worse before they got better for me. My first two weeks of switching over I had twice as many breakouts as usual, and they were larger in size. I also use witchhazel. My skin is pretty sensitive and it works best. So I kept the skin cleaner then usual and used my most gentle moisturiser.
This months bout of hormones only raised the slightest amount of acne. one or two, and this time smaller then usual. So I'm thinking it's god. But my data is only based on two cycles.
